Organised...yeah...that's what I was going to do before I was 40,50,60!

Really need to get rid of more clothes as have nowhere to put some of my stuff...and I am still in a panic about what to wear when I go somewhere, so lots not being used!!

Won't join the challenge though (cowardice??) as next couple of weeks will be taken up with feeding the family as they are all around.

Did make a start on organising my kitchen by ringing the guy who will do the 'building' work...knocking two rooms into one, so maybe he is a knocker rather than a builder!

    Good luck all

Thanks Marie - just keep nagging us! I'm reasonably pleased today as I have done all I set out to, which in itself is a real rarity for me! Just have to shred the really old statements before bed - the desk actually closes tonight!
OK folks - lets see what we can all do tomorrow. Anything has to be better than nothing!

Good morning people - hope you've all had a good night's sleep! Do your little ones manage to sleep ok when it's really warm?
I've already done the dogs as I know they'll find it too hot to go far later on. have chosen some quickish tasks today as we hope to go out for most of the day, but I need to have done something constructive first. So, my lovely coffee table is once again visible as I've cleared off all the papers, etc. which were covering it. I need to deal with the shelf in the kitchen too - only looks good with a virtually clear surface, but it's such a convenient dumping ground for just about anything! Will also rush round and clean all the mirrors - doesn't take too long, but makes the place look a whole lot sparklier! Tonight will be my real challenge as I want to make myself cut out some material - my least favourite part of sewing.
Hope you manage to get a few bits done too!
Was really pleased last night as I've finally paid off a long-term cc!

I'm hoping to use the days between now and Sepember 1st to achieve my lifelong ambition of becoming finally organised. I need to declutter, I need to clean, I need to do more OS style living generally. I want to do some dressmaking, I need to sort out masses of paperwork both at home and at school and I'd like my finances properly sorted. There's probably more - but that's for starters!
This is my last school summer break as I'm due to retire in December and I'd so love to have things sorted before then. I have an appearance of "calm efficiency" (recent quote from Ofs*** report!!!) but my avatar is well chosen - beneath the surface I'm paddling furiously! I know I have ages to do this when I retire - but my self esteem wants to do it now!
Anyway - anyone want to join me for a six week makeover challenge?

Count me in beemuzed. After a weird year so far I have let everything go and become a martyr to aches and pains. I have so many things just held in 'limbo'.

    So YES - Let's go Cisco!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :j

Glad I'm not the only one up early Beemuzed! The kids sleep OK when it's warm - just wake up early. It's the one inside playing football with my bladder that gets me up in the night!! Oh well only another 18 weeks to go! That's actually quite scary when I think of everything I want to get done before it arrives!
Really want to start to tackle my kitchen cupboards today. Will depend on how long the kids will sit at the kitchen table playing for. I've got a whole stack of old birthday cards that I've said they can cut up and make collages out of so hopefully that will keep them amused for a while.
Well done on paying off your credit card! Really satisfying isn't it! Right -quick shower while the boys are watching TV then I'd better make a start!

Morning howskint? - good luck with the kitchen cupboards! I'd better add that to my ever-extending list of to-dos! Hope your little ones enjoy their collage.
    Welcome aboard moanymoany!
I'm working on the principlethat anything that gets done is better than nothing - I've years of experience of letting this holiday just drift away. Maybe I won't be super-organised by the end - but it'll be loads better than usual. Just telling you all what I have to do each day should hold me to it!
We're off out for the day shortly, and normally that would be a day off doing anything - but I have done the three things I said I'd do, so can now go with a clear conscience!

    can I join in?

My house has been a wreck since we got our new pup 3 months ago!!! :o

However, yesterday, after reading this thread, it inspired me to get going and I cleared the hall and living room.

Today, my task will be the paperwork I think

We have a 5 month old black lab called Dexter. Not only the mess but you can't leave them alone for a minute! trying to do simple jobs like putting washing away or loading/emptying the dishwasher has become a nightmare! lol
