Well I'm kind of clearing as I'm going though I did acquire a new freeview box from freecycle for the youngest's room (she doesn't know yet). Going to try and make a definite effort tonight though I have a friend's house to quickly clean tonight before they get home from holiday (been looking after it and their pets). I really need to get a load of stuff onto ebay, think I might at least challenge myself to get 5 things onto ebay by tomorrow. if I don't someone please kick me up the behind, you have my permission!

Flippen heck...I had to go right back to page 6 to find this! Best get writing girls or beemuuzed will not be best pleased when she gets back ! :rotfl:

Today I have...erm well...done not alot really I'm ashamed to say...except to move everything around in the freezers and sort it in correct drawers, so I at least know what I have in there. I threw some veg out and made more room for the baking I did yesterday. We've enough food in now to keep me and hubby going for a month I think :D so I'm hoping to have to only go get milk, fruit etc.

I did tidy a couple of more drawers out of the desk....what does everyone else do with cards, letters etc.? I'm a right magpie and that's why the house is full to bursting now lol. I have decided to keep last years family and birthday cards and thats all, then get rid of them when the next ones come in. I've got a few photo albums that I've saved special things in... but still seem to have more than any normal person :o

Come on then girls... where are you??:rotfl::rotfl:

I have so fallen off the bandwagon this week!!:o

It all went a bit Pete Tong after I went to the allotment on Tuesday and picked 12lbs  (yes 12lbs) of broad beans and peas, that all need shelling, blanching and freezing asap.

Will try harder over the weekend:rotfl: , going to start on DS2's room tomorrow, after I have posted my ebay packages (7:eek: ) I can just envisage the look on the post office staffs face. God, you would think you were the worst person on earth, actually giving them business and stopping them for being closed down, the cheek of it:rolleyes: .

Today's been a washout in all senses. Overslept, then did 3 loads of washing [plenty more where that came from ... long story]. Ate preprepped meal, grated about 4lbs of cheese ready for the freezer, spent hours on the net sorting out our electricity bills [paying 2 accounts for one supply!], sorted out holiday problems, spent ages packing up the cash into envelopes for the month. Now I'm finished and the place looks no better - humph.... Ah well, there's always tomorrow - particularly as OH has PROMISED to clear the bedroom ....
If you see me on here - shout at me to get off and go and get something useful done!! :D

Talk about throwing a spanner in the works - our house at the back got flooded after the torrential downpour on thursday/friday - it has shorted out all our electrics. Half our floor had to come up - had to quickly empty the freezer/fridge and take it over my dad's. We managed to get the upstairs plugs to work but all the downstairs sockets are off - so at least I have my phone and computer back - it has been hell without them.

So not a lot done but I'm going to gut the kitchen/dining room today for when the workmen come - they have an empty room to work in/aiming to declutter at same time and to fill a black bag or two.

Luckily I had totally caught up on Washing/Ironing - was up to date but now it's gonna catch up on me again - may have to take washing over to my dad's to do and take the ironing board upstairs!

Have an organised car - I emptied it of all rubbish and things that didn't belong in it.

I've also put in a small bag of dry dog food for when we're out with the dog and forget it's her feeding time (which we're always doing), spare poo bags, spare lead and wipes and change of clothes that will now always stay in the car for our daughter(potty trained but there's sometimes an accident).

    Feeling quite organised there.

Hi Everyone - I'm back and feeling relaxed and refreshed despite dodging the showers (read downpours!) in Scotland! You seem to have been very busy and now I feel really behind. It's all downhill from here and I need to put in a huge effort if I'm to feel I've achieved something - we have a lovely w/e to look forward to with DGD's christening, then my young niece and nephew come for a few days...and September rushes towards me! No, it's only one week into August, so loads of time yet.
I've done three loads of washing - all hanging on airers in the conservatory with little hope of getting out. Today is general tidying and sorting out the beds for our young visitors - but I will get some of the larder sheves done too, I promise! Back this evening to report.....

    Think twice before spending anything!

OK, well lots of ironing done, so basket is finally empty. Two shelves sorted, and a batch of scones baked. Bedrooms ready for the onslaught!

Two more black bags of rubbish out of the kitchen - can't bring myself to tackle the filing cabinet mind!!! I always put off the worst jobs til last - should really do the other way round then it might not feel so bad.

Have read some of this thread [ there's far too much to read it all!] and would love to join in as I have realised that I go back to school in three weeks and have hardly done anything yet. Today will be spent [ whats left of it] writing my lists of what need doing........some how I think its going to be a really long list!
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.
