    Thanks Princesspeach

Okay I think my three challenges will be

    1) be brave and learn to list stuff on e-bay
    2) go for a drink in a pub on my own (spend hours on the road every week in coffee shops so can't start there!!)
3)smile at 1 man minimum when I go to Ireland for 3 days next week

    Yeah love a good challenge:T
  • in the green - there is loads on here about listing on ebay and how to reduce costs - just go to the shopping and spending tab at the top and abt 2/3's down the page there should be some info on Ebay.

Hi, i have only been "lurking" around for a week or so since somebody recommended me this site. Post's like yours are such a good idea. its so easy to feel isolated sometimes and you dont really want to ring your mates up and talk about debt do you! i am single with a little girl and a mountain of debt from the ex. it really is such a struggle sometimes, but just reading some of the posts like yours make me feel so much better as I know its not just me going through crap like this. so thanks a lot - and i promise you as long as you face up to your debt (as you clearly are) it will get easier.

  • Hi all just reading the thread and thought i'd join in. Like others I read alot of whats written but dont tend to put myself on.

Im 30 and split form my partner 1yr ago (cant believe how time flies), however didnt have debt. Got the flat transferred to my name, my fixed rate mortgage is due up in Dec. Went to see IFA who advised motgaege would go up £60pmth which will cut out what little social life i have as i already extended the 25yrs to 40yrs :-(.

Some friend intend to go abroad for a year and Im thinking of just selling the flat and going as my job is contracted till next year and the though of struggling on with the flat is a weight on my mind. only debt i have is student loan of £14,000. i will miss my flat, thiking of moving in with parents to save for trip so not to use any money from sale of house in order to get something when i come back. Do you think this is mad given current economic climate?

But you know what they say time whats for no man! x

Hi, welcome to the thread! I don't really have any advice as I don't know about the worries of a mortgage, still trying to clear debts before I can even think about getting on the property ladder. What are your gut feelings about selling/going abroad?
