Single and in debt.

Those self help books! If I could do even a tenth of what they tell you to do I would be happy! I read them and they seem so easy at the time but putting it into practice is the hard part! Especially the shyness ones- I know I need to do something, and I've got much better as I've got older, but it's so difficult sometimes. Also have the how to meet a man... keep a man... lose weight... be more confident... save money... be happy ones. I need to stop reading how to and start practicing!
Yup - they always sounds so easy but i am yet to put into practice anything they say - but i cant help reading them!:)0 -

Whilst I have lovely friends who are fantastic, they do not know how bad the situation is, and though I know that my closest ones wouldn't judge me, I just don't want to tell them the details.
I am happy enough being single, but do get the times where I wish I had someone to love and share things with. I'm really a softie underneath my 'single, career girl, living the London lifestyle' exterior.
welcome to the thread, same here, a Londoner and in debt but dont want to tell my friends how bad it is.
It's great that you have your own place, cant wait for that day, i'm sharing at the moment and am very tempted to go and rent a 1 bed place as i've had enough of sharing. If i do that is easily another £400 a month going out on top to live by myself.0 -
Hey Folks!
Not been on in a few days with getting organised for my party. I am however back in the land of the living, but needing a wee nap again! Had a marvellous time. Was really worried about folk not coming especially with it being summer holiday time but almost everyone I invited was there. It's kind of boosted my confidence a bit because (in the words of my friend) "it shows that you are important and well thought of by so many people". Just a pity none of them are single guys eh???
Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Hi. I would reccomend thinking about it very seriously. Not only is there the extra rent, but the extra bills. I'm paying way more than if I was renting a large double room in a nicer area. Though it is bliss being able to shut the door on the rest of the world and getting your own space. I even sometimes come home on a Friday after a hectic week, and don't leave until Monday morning. Hmmmm maybe that's why I don't have a boyfriend0 -

I have bought loads, I couldn't of kept them all.
And I know what you mean about whats the alternative, cos this is not working!
I do feel bad about being on the fish site tho, I know I won't go and meet them am far too frightened.
Don't be frightened Buffy. I did it (ok, so I really was brickin it) and it turned out ok. You just need to go for a drink or something. Follow your own advice - make sure it's busy and have a get out plan and a safety net in place.Reality check - hit rock bottom on 15 Dec 2008 with unsecured debts of £29,136 and not enough money to live on

Well my little meeting went suprisingly very well considering my previous disasters!
If you want something a little different from the fish site try okcupid.com .. the tests and stuff on it kept me amused for a while that's for sure!
Been making plans for date number 2:kisses2:
