Hi bebebelle, I always thought I was the only no house, no kids, no nothing one as well! Always feel so awkward about revealing my circumstances to people, it's difficult to explain how I got here and I always end up telling people I am happy to be single, when I'm not, so it doesn't look like another thing I can't manage.

I also have a pile, mine is books, shoes, make-up and bags, on top of the obligatory perfume!

same here - shoes, bags, clothes books......

    and no house no kids....

    Well done Buffy. Stay strong.

Plenty of fish has me well and truly hooked. I've been chatting to people on there for hours. Might even be meeting up with someone this weekend:eek:

Hello all, I have never posted before but I am a long time lurker on this site. I hope it's okay to join in here, you all seem like such a friendly bunch. I don't have an enormous amount of debt now as I have worked very hard over the last few years to clear it so I can begin saving for a deposit. I am now 36 and hoping to be debt free in the next couple of years, so looking to get a house before I'm 40. My problem is that I am single, and I have always found that to be one of the most difficult things to cope with over the past few years whilst being in debt, not having anyone to share my worries with. Another problem being of course that I am having to do it all myself, pay bills, rent etc with just one salary coming in, it has been a very lonely journey at times. I am feeling okay at the moment and I can see light at the end of the tunnel, but I seem to have been struggling with this by myself forever! I was wondering if there is anyone in the same situation who has any tips and/or moral support? Thanks in advance.

Have to go with recommending Starbucks! Always busy there but also a place you can sit for hours without anyone raising an eyebrow :)

    Welcome Larra

It's a good suggestion to do a part time job. I personally don't feel the need to because although I have debts, I overpay every month so have convinced myself I'm actually not in a bad position. Of course, a p/t job would help me clear it quicker...

However (and yes, it's an excuse but it is true) I'm always busy in my spare time. At the moment I'm training for the great south run, and in September I'm starting a new course. So when I have spare time I like to relax instead of work.

He suggested coming to mine with a dvd. Do you think that means he's an axe murderer?

I reckon it'll be the pub. Says he can teach me to play pool (he has NO idea how bad I am) and at least its public.

I'm mortified at the thought of telling family and friends I'm meeting him after using that site so I may need to use you lot as my security blanket... if I don't post by a certain time call the police and tell them mupet is mia!
