We do need treats occasionally though
Hmm, the bit I have trouble with is the word occasionally, am so used to being on my own and being able to please myself, plus the constant mindset of I deserve a treat, means I am constantly eating yummy rubbish  I need to start thinking along the lines of losing weight will mean I feel happier all the time and need less treats. I promise that when I am slim I will never let this happen again:mad: it's so difficult and time consuming to put right.Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -

Sarah, you are scaring me now  my thoughts keep appearing in your posts :rotfl: :rotfl: this is the second time tonight you've done that!
Here I go again! Off to bed now with the magazine I bought myself as a treat - cos I needed a treat cos I have no money

It's really strange, the only one of the threads which I read which still seems to be very active is the £100 clothes one *debates whether to make confession in that area and decides not to, will think of some loophole later* it's oddly quiet on all the others.
Think you may be right about it being seasonal, starting off with good intentions etc, but it just feels strange. There is a thread I post on where most weeks I am the only poster, they are all starting to feel like that.

:rotfl: I actually ordered it without thinking:o Is a very pretty pink jumper and I totally forgot about the challenge,:o Was through quidco though! I actually bought it as a little treat  for being debt freeish and have just remembered *sighs with relief* that the money I used was a gift so not technically mine, which I believe is the very loophole I need.
Am a bit dissapointed in myself though as I really was trying very hard and bought nothing last month and have been avoiding the shops. I genuinely have only spent £10 so far on actual clothes. (think there was a coat and a work skirt in there as well). I will not spend more than £100!Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -

Mutter a couple of 'hail lula's'& you're absolved of any wrongdoing
.
I'm fed up with avoiding shops  have turned to amazon for books to satisfy my need to spend, but have a £10 voucher from lightspeed so really that's free :j .
I am so tired I cant keep my eyes open, half way through a glass of wine & I cant even finish it - I'm truly ashamed of myself, what a lightweight
Night night

I don't know, losing weight, going to bed at a sensible time, not drinking? I think I need to get in on the prawn deliveries;)

Hi all - well got a bit of time to sit around on MSE and catch up! Got myself a little netbook thingy this week so that I can surf the web wherever I am. Love that I can lounge about wherever without needing to be chained to the PC in the spare room!
I know what you mean about treating yourself - today was payday for me and now I want to treat myself to somethingI'm sure I absolutely DESERVE something nice this weekend! May go to the cinema or something early tomorrow as a treat (which is relatively cheap as far as treats go!) but have to be back fairly quickly for the Edinburgh derby on TV. Ha ha! How exciting does all that sound?!
New boss started this week and it's a bit of a pest given that things have been going so well with the boss I have at the moment whom I really like. Not enjoying having my boat rocked! I'm sure the new guy is a nice guy and all but I've had about 8 jobs in 11 years, and this one is becoming my longest ever spell with an employer at (ahem) 20 monthsso not wanting any changes. Don't I sound like a spolit brat?!!!!
Telly is rotten tonight - where the hell did Eastenders go?Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
Well that was weird and cruel. Remember the nice guy I mentioned, the one I really liked .. well he popped up on MSN and started chatting to me a bit drunk, said he would like to meet me again etc, asked for my number , then just texted me 'idiot, I was joking I dont want to meet you'
So now I am all sad and confused
Gosh remember this post back all those months ago ... well he just popped up and started chatting to me again (think my block list got purged or something as he was blocked but not on my friends-list) I think I have this vibe where the men who bail on me keep turning up and sniffing around again when they feel like :o0 -
I've just been working hard lately. Now that the days are getting longer I've been working a bit later. This means that I've less time to do other things at the moment so something had to give. It was the internet time that needed to be reduced. After all, it is a means to an end rather than life itself
. I've also done a bit more socialising lately in the world away from the square box. I wondered what those funny looking bipeds were - apparently they're called "people". This is an amazing new concept to me
.
Seriously, I do like this thread and read it when I can even if I don't get around to posting much.0
