I have to go shopping over the weekend for something to wear to a family party next week - with my weight I don't think this shopping trip is going to be the best ever

Grr, totally sympathise, I hate feeling like that! It really spoils clothes shopping when you don't feel your best. If I could lose 1lb a week I would be sorted by Christmas. But I can't lose 1lb a week icon8.gif Well, I obviously can, but I am too lazy.:o Well done on 2lbs this week:j

    It's very strange,

this quietness seems to have permeated most of the threads I read too, maybe it's a seasonal thing  , after the flurry of activity in the new year when everyone is full of good intentions, now people are facing the reality of what they hope to achieve  I'm lurching from week to week at the moment & the dear small person seems to be bringing home a bill for a trip every other day at the moment - over £100 this week alone :( .

I've had all my new rates for rent, council tax, water bill etc & they're really not much different from last year , just a few pounds more a month which is a relief but the job situation is still quite annoying as I'm only having to do them in order to pay off the debts & sometimes it really really bores me  I'm not good at doing stuff because I have to

I know! For example, I know I should not be sat here with a glass of wine and a bag of crisps and yet I am:confused: And tomorrow i will be asking myself why I did it:rolleyes:

Yes, I agree. This time of year is really dreary, I think. New Year motivation has gone, nothing much has been achieved - and summer still seems a long way off  I am definately a summer person - I am just happier when it's sunny, nothing ever seems quite so bad :D

It's really strange, the only one of the threads which I read which still seems to be very active is the £100 clothes one *debates whether to make confession in that area and decides not to, will think of some loophole later* it's oddly quiet on all the others.

Think you may be right about it being seasonal, starting off with good intentions etc, but it just feels strange. There is a thread I post on where most weeks I am the only poster, they are all starting to feel like that.

I agree with you both about knowing what to do but then not doing it... I'm superb at giving advice on almost anything but cant follow it myself

It's a sad fact that I'm only doing daily exercise because I need to in order to earn more money, to pay off my debts. I was much happier when i used to go the gym through choice although i was paying the subscription on my CC :o

We do need treats occasionally though & this is the first alchocol I've had in ages, at least all the exercise is making me so tired I dont need a drink to get to sleep anymore
