Well, have done the shopping, came to £30, but would have been £25 if that £5 box of chocolates hadn't fallen into my trolley. Am all stocked up on fresh meat and fish and fruit teas. I am going to do this !!!!!! Will be posting updates to keep myself on track, if I have to come and confess I will be less likely to cheat.

    Good luck with detox!

I have done the Sonoma diet a few times and I have found that once I stopped eating sugar, I didn't miss it.

I was really surprised that out of everything, the thing I craved the most was a bag of crisps. And one bag of crisps every so often isn't the worst thing ever!

I just need to get back to that point!!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)
  • GRRRR! why can't I stop looking at the m&s website.

Will have to learn to start ebaying to make some extra money for the clothes fund. Or just stop looking at the website.

Exactly, I remember cutting out sugar and after a while I didn't miss it and I was sleeping a lot better as well.

I love crisps! The only way round it for me is to not even keep them in the house, if they are there I can't resist. I keep thinking I should do that 100 day challenge thing but have already banned myself from toiletries and clothes, can't give up everything. Just realised I am going to have to spend 10 days without chocolate:eek:

I am just too lazy and disorganised to do any exercise programme along with detoxing, but if I walk to the shops 3-4 times during my week off (45 mins each way) that should cover it I hope. Will use the lure of a magazine at the shops to get me there. :o

Sarah: do you have an iPod or an MP3 player? If not get yourself a lovely pink one off ebay then wack on your favorite tunes and that 45min walk to the shops will seem like a 5min stroll in the park... You'll be amazed at how much weight you can lose just by walked that much 3 times a week.

I do have an ipod, never thought of that. Good idea, TDQ, I shall get downloading and go for a walk on Saturday. I certainly hope I am amazed by how much weight I lose. :D

Have you managed to get you accommodation sorted yet? When does the new job start?

Put songs on it that either make you want to jump up and dance or cry your eyes out. The more emotional you are the less you notice the exercise and the quicker you will walk...

I lost 1.5 stone in 6 weeks walking for 1.5hrs a day 5-6 times a week. I was eating massive fry-ups and meals 4 times a day too!

No accomodation sorted yet, though my boss has finally assigned a girl in HR to help me! The job starts as soon as I have accommodation... I wanted to start on Monday but it doesn't look likely...

1.5 stone:j I could definitely do with losing that! Sadly wont be able to do it for longer than 10 days this time, but might try to do it every day for those 10 days, I prefer spoken word things on my ipod, not quite got the hang of itunes yet, but do have a load of things I haven't got round to listening to yet, so can catch up next week.

Re accom, you'll get there, think how much better off you are now than you were a few weeks ago, it's good that you have someone to help. Not long now until you have lots of experience and a degree. I like to think us bossing you about helped:D

You can manage it every single day no worries, go for it! If you know you've only got 10 days then make the absolute most of every single one!

Well in 2-3yrs when I'm back out here earning $100k I'll just call up you fabulously well dressed and gorgeous women and you can come and be my harem... :D

*Barges to the front of the queue*

    me first, me first :rotfl:

Sarah - it's absolutely true about the exercise ; I used to cycle 7 miles a day to work & back, ate the same diet as all the guys ( Cheese & bacon sarnies, donuts etc) never put on any weight & had fab toned muscles too ....

I must get a new front tire for my bike, think SusSu doing her own exercise regime now ;)
