Hello everyone :hello:
Sorry I haven't been around for a while, but I've been dead busy at work and knackered when I get home (weekends with my brother always take it out of me!) Anyway, I've been catching up with y'all, but not been posting- blame it on my hurty shoulder
Just wanted to say hello to you all and let you know that I'm still rooting for you when things get rough, and cheering you on when things look good. I'm just not able to post as much of an evening as I'd like. The good news is that my shoulder's getting better, so I should be fighting fit soon. Well, I need to be, specially as I've promised my pal I'll do a mini triathlon with her in August
I'll try & check in later - will see how I'm doing after another crazy day here.
Much love
SuSu
Oh, and I don't think I mentioned it before, but I got some new shoes from Clarks yesterday (Sarah's a bad influence!) They are bee-you-tiffle. And reduced from £68 to £20
well done on the shoes liked the small print was that on purpose.
i have to say mags is having a not bad day but i am on hols so no stress of work
got my thing through for recycling the fone so will pop it in the post tomorrow then the chq arrives
hope your shoulder gets better:mad: sometimes my debt panics me..... EVEN after 4 years or so.
I will be free in less than three years with a trust deed - my only option as debt management was taking too long0 -
Hey everyone & a big welcome back to SuSu
:j but sorry your shoulder hurting still
how about getting hunky flatmate to give a warm massage
Paulgonnabedebtfree - not really going into a nunnery ; mainly for the same reasons as you ... and think my DD would be a bit miffed & also I'm not very religious  & after 6 years boarding school I think I've done my time being incarcerated , hmmmm guess that's a big no thenOh & I'm near number 11 . I know what you mean about the garage too, I rent one but shhh dont tell anyone as it's not very DFW & although it saves me on my car insurance it actually costs twice as much  . I waited 3 years for it as there's a school at the end of the road so parking is an absolute 'mare & frankly I'd rather eat less than give it up

Hiya!
Well, I'm back from the gym and all showered and fed, so can chat tonight! !!!!!! the shoulder pain, I'll just dose up on drugs tonight :rotfl:
Lula, I'm near 11 too!! Ooh, we might have seen each other in passing!! Paulgonnabedebtfree, what number are you??
Don't know if I've mentioned this before, but I finally got my credit cheque back from Thames Water :j It took 53 weeks, several phone calls and finally one 3-page letter to the MD of Customer Service to sort it out, but I have now received and banked a cheque for £946.58 :T
!!!!!!s didn't add any lost interest, but tbh I'm just glad to have it in my account - Hoorah! Might pop onto Clarks website and look for some fabulously bargainous boots by way of, erm, compensation! I wore my bee-you-tiffle red shoes today and had LOADS of lovely comments about them, which made me feel rather fabulous
Can't help anyone with the Freecycle chat cos I've never used it. Prefer to give it to a charity shop cos it gives me a warm feeling in my soul. Is that wrong? Does it make me selfish?:rotfl:
I've not really got any interesting news for youWork's busy, I'm gymming as often as I can and am going to seriously consider this mini triathlon in August. Other than that... Oh! I still haven't had any chocolate this year!!! And now my debt-free date is March 2010, I've managed 1/14th of my target!
k, gonna pop over to Clarks shoes. Back inabit...£27k (excluding interest) paid off in 29 months
Finally debt free!0 -

I kept looking down at my new shoes today and sighing. I love my new shoes! :happyhear
Just looked down at my feet now, but am wearing tatty towelling bedsocks. Not sighing in a lovelorn way now! :rotfl:
Which ones did you get again? I got "beauty spot" in red. Gorgeous they are too.£27k (excluding interest) paid off in 29 months

SuSu that's brilliant news on the cheque :j what a fab post christmas pressie
.
Glad to hear you're near Number 11 too (makes me feel warm & cosy & less alone as everyone else seems to be t'other side of London & up a fair way) Also means I'm closer to the italian footballing flatmate than everyone else too :rotfl: me first, me first
I'm not buying any shoes but I did get given a huge bag of clothes today & although a lot will be going to the charity shop there are 2 lovely tops, 2 fabby cuddly jumpers & a couple of t shirts I'm keeping. I've decided that my diet & exercise regime starts seriously as from sunday. I WILL eat more fruit & veg & less carbs & I WILL get a new tire for my bike

Aaargh enough of the Clarks love in! :rotfl:
I ordered two pairs of boots and one didn't fit at all and the other fitted more or less but were a bit tight around the toes...now I need to take them back......I'm fed up with online shopping, find it way tooooo depressing when the lovely things I've ordered turn out to look pants on me....
I had to go to the dentist today and turns out need a filling so that will cost £44 which I had to pay today...plus I bought cough mixture and it cost over £3 and it tastes horrible...I'd rather spend my money on things I actually like / want to do.....
On a slightly sad note, I'm really excited about Gossip Girl tonight....I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills

:j  on the Thames Water money, that it took so bloomin' long!
I don't think you are wrong to give to charity shop. I think the point of Freecycle is that there are some things which charity shops don't take - like electrical goods and some people aren't near places which take big stuff like sofas (or have transport to deliver it) so it kind of fills the gap and stops the stuff going into landfill.
Also some councils charge to take away big stuff so you might as well get someone else to take it away.I've got my own flat :j:j
