  • Hi eco, thanks for your concern - I am okay. It is what it is and I need to keep perspective - I didn't build this debt overnight and it will take time to get rid of. I could be in much worse situations - I have my health, good friends and a job.

Slayerx - so sorry to hear your news. Hope you've got people nearby who can give you a hug and support you through this. x

Shoe Gal - I LOVE magazines - but I have a subscription to Red which is great and will have to wean myself off all the others......it's gonna be hard!!!!

I have a subscription to Red, got it with Nectar points, and She - and Tuesday just wouldn't be Tuesday with Closer!!! Try to limit myself to just these 3 now, but it's a struggle!!! In fact, I gave in to Easy Living yesterday!!! I'm beginning to scare myself now !!!! :rotfl:

there might be more job opportunities in Leeds, they have goverment offices that might be worth a try, I don't know if they have a email site they advertise on, but promotions good once you get in.

Jenevieve, definitely post up your soa if you can, the people on here will pare it to the bone for you! Also, I used to be addicted to magazines and newspapers, now I read them all online and just get a newspaper on a Saturday for a treat. Try it for a fortnight and see how you get on. I am saving my tesco points for a magazine subscription.

Go on the freebies board and see what you can get for free, usually just samples of things but every little helps. Look at the Boots thread on Grabbit, they will help you get toiletries for pennies (I should know:o ). Post on the "what small thing..." thread, which I have decided to do, list every single DFW thing you do. Use Quidco for everything you get online. I noticed you have a good monthy income, could you possibly live off 1k and put the other 1k towards debts? That way you would be done in less than 5 years.

You could challenge yourself to pay make extra money each month, Quidco, ebay, vouchers etc and throw it at the debts. set yourself targets, e.g. under 50k by April. Under 40k by the end of the year. Come on here and tell us about your successes or to have a rant. We are all on this site to support each other. You are not alone and you will be fine, please don't worry x
