Glad you're enjoying the Being Happy book, btw. It's fab isn't it! I also got the "over 40" book, but haven't started it yet. I agree about the irrelevance of the stat that there's only a 2.6% chance of women over 40 getting married. Unless they show the % for other age groups it's largely irrelevant. For all we know, the chance of getting married is 5% in your 20s and 17% in your 30s. Without a point of reference, the stat has no point.

I hadn't thought of it like that, that makes more sense. *sighs with relief* And yes, it is fab:D , am reading a little bit each night, will probably finish it tonight, at which point I will start again, will keep going untli it has all sunk in:D

    Thanks Sarah

Think the weight loss might be a bit of a fluke as it's been a case of being too busy to think about snacking at work all day. Fluke or not, I'm chuffed wherever it comes from!

I have mixed feelings about lists, have only just starting making them. It's motivating when I can cross something off but I have a tendancy to be really hard on myself if I fail - and then I go mad in a 'I've ruined it now so what the hell' sort of way! Have tried to make this weeks quite manageable so I'll report back how I get on

Should hear something definate about my job next week, so I'm keeping everything crossed!

Ooh, thank goodness, it's all normal again!

I have just been checking internet banking and am in major poop this month, almost up to my overdraft, a combination of longer between pay days and a bit of online shopping. Have been doing some calculations and will take till the end of April to get myself straight again with the o/d. All self inflicted. :o

At the same time though, having a few NSDs this month, (more than in my sig, haven't kept track of them lately) I have realised how little I can actually live off if I actually try. I need to go on one of those cold turkey weeks they have on Shopaholics. :o

... a bit of online shopping... anything you'd like to tell me about or is it just the shoes that you have already confessed to & been exonerated for :D

Hmmm, need to go finish that bottle of wine that's clogging up the fridge .. well, it's nearly empty & I could replace it with a full one ;)

  • Thanks girls, for your suggestions.
Funnily enough, now that I have it in black and white, I don't feel so out of control.
I fritter a colossal amount of money away - today I bought a newspaper, a magazine (I know but it was on special for £1), a Big Mac meal, two packs of 70 denier tights (sexy...not!) and my tea.
Apart from the tights which are for work, I didn't need to buy any of the other stuff at all.

I feel very uncomfortable if I don't spend something on anything everyday - and that is enough reason to stop doing it and scrutiny why I am doing it.

I have overpaid on a couple of my credit cards this month, so I have to be extra-frugal or I won't survive until next pay day.

this thread is such a little family and very supportive - I feel better just typing..... Thanks again xxx
