Sarah...shoes are fab! But soooooooooooooo high!!! I can't wear heels to save my life. I do have a pair for if i'm going somewhere like a christening and I know I'm going to be sat down most of the day :o

So do these shoes fit in with your real life or your city break life???

I'm just waiting for washing machine to finish..only just realised bout half an hour ago that DD's school t.shirt was still in washing basket  Then I'll be off to bed for an early night.

But when you go onto the "package" deal sites it's all the pricing geared towards 2 person room ocupancy

So annoying! When you think how many single people there are, you'd think we would be more catered for. It's bloody expensive being single. For example, I have just had to buy my own shoes:D

He He! Well, it's to do with the article SuSu liked to lasrt weekend in the Sunday Times, called how to get a man after 40 (still waiting for the book to arriveicon9.gif ) and it said, wear clothes your mother would describe as lovely, ie not showing everything off but not being too dull either. You have to make him notice you apparently;) So am trying to only wear things that are nice but don't make me blend into the background. Will be okay on the clothes front (when I have lost weight:o ) but a bit lacking on the shoes front, only really have party shoes or sensible shoes.

I wasn't really looking for any shoes but I made the mistake of looking at the Grabbit board...:D

Oh, there are "single people" holiday sites but they are soooooooooooooo expensive it's ridiculous & they go to "poncy" destinations :rotfl:

As for buying your own shoes, at least know you'll get what you want even if having to pay for them yourself is a pain.

  • RMR... I'm deffo going for no.3 aswell.
At least you know he's not just after one thing! I bet he was lying there all night thinking of asking you to join him in bed. I know everyone's different but I reckon it means he like you. I've been having this 'thing' with my non-boyf for about 7 weeks now. It took about 4 weeks for us to kiss and we slept in the same house but different rooms 3 times but now we sleep in bed together. May sound wierd but coz I like him and think when I'm ready it may go somewhere I dont want to have s3x with him. I'd rather take it really slow and get to know him properly. He knows I've had 1 night stands so he could think I'm not interested in him, but it;s not that. I just have respect for him and I think forbidden man has respect for you by not asking you to his bed straight away.

That's a really nice way of doing it. I'm so impatient and always jump to conclusions, so as he didn't kiss me, in my mind that's rejection (or maybe I've just dated creeps in the past). But hearing it from your point of view puts a different perspective on it.

It sounds like you and non-boyfriend have a good relationship, built on more than just pure lust. That's the best way to get a long-term thing going I reckon. Assuming that's what you're both after?

Aaaargh I'm back in Oz. Got another job offer though :)

Hope you ladies aren't having too much strife... or buying too many shoes!!

On the bed thing: it's definitely no.3 as this is exactly what I do :)

I meant to reply to this earlier but forgot! I wish I could find the solution to this Lula, I asked my GP about it not so long ago as since having the hormone coil from doom removed and getting my periods back I am having terrible PMS (I suppose its better then the 7 years permanent PMSx100000 that I was like WITH the coil!) She basically told me that there are no real solutions for PMS and different things work for different people. Some people take Vitamin B6, some people take St Johns Wort, some take a weeks worth of Prozac, some take herbal teas etc etc, its just a case of trying to find what helps. I am taking B6 atm but cant really say it is helping much as I too am a snarling mess coupled with a blubbering fool as for my sense of humour, it totally goes AWOL and no food is safe in my presence!

Ultimately I have no advice ... just know you are not alone! :)

    .

I'm getting round this by going on holiday to a relatives house with a couple of single friends. I am lucky enough to have a relative that lives in the south of France but finds it too hot and too crowded in the summer:confused: so comes back to England. I don't mind hot and crowded especially since the areas big with surf dude types and we can go perve at them :rotfl:.

Lula I think unfortunately one of the best cures for PMT is fresh air and exercise. Its the last thing you want to do but it works. Other than that indulging yourself by curling up on the couch with a weepy film and a box of chocolates also helps.

I did go away with one of my single mates, to stay with her realtives for about 2 1/2 weeks in 2007 but she's not not single anymore, she had a whirlwind romance, met him Nov' 07, engaged Feb '08, married Aug '08  , so she's all loved up, my other mate is great but couldn't go on holiday with her as she's into cruises, which do not appeal to me at all.
Perving at the "surf dude types" sounds like a plan to me :rotfl:
