Now that sounds perfect! I do want all the being swept off my feet type thing, but the just hanging out and the talking for hours is what I really enjoy. Your friend's story just goes to show that for all the requirements we have for someone, sometimes it works with someone we just wouldn't expect. Hmm. Am jealous now. :D

That's what I want - lying around next to someone with lazy weekends spent in bed watching TV, and that special someone to phone up when something happens in life that you just gotta phone and tell someone!
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!
  • Do you know what.

I have been !!!!ing miserable all day.

And DAMN IT its over a bloody sodding man.

And do you know what else?

I do not suppose for a second he has even thought of me all day. not once.

and I am Not going to be miserable.

    I am going to

    1. get out of debt
    2. lose forty pounds
and leave my !!!!!! crappy job.

and one day he will see me again and he will damn well realise what an idiot he was.

and with that in mind I need to get sorted for tomorrow.

    xxx

I'd love to say I hope things get better and don't let it get you down and all that but at the moment you're scaring me :p

Seriously, don't let it get you down. And at the risk of sounding like some mad cult positive thinking person, only worry about the things you can change yourself. Other people just mess things up.

RMR I'll vote for number 3 as well, try to keep busy so you don't worry too much, and I'm going to check out racecaller cos i heard about it before.
Lula haven't you got a friend you could borrow a dog from, I occasionally let mine be borrowed for a walk, although I wish I knew someone who'd borrow them overnight every now and then, every time someone say's to me I'm thinking of getting a dog, I'll say have mine for the weekend, no takers on that one, they go back to thinking about it.
And everyone else who's not had a good weekend have a hug.
  • thanks guys I have done my 24hours miserable and now I have to get on with things.

    And damn well will too!

!!!! off I am fabulous eh Lula ?

    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Buffy, not sure what to suggest because I feel that way all too often. Have you got a friend you can go and see, or who can come and see you? I find that talking to people (you lot included) really really helps.

Buffy - you are so damn f***ing fabulous :D

Eco - a gorgeous collie used to live next door & we'd walk him & doggysit quite often but he moved about a year or so ago :( . I've never taken the steps of ownership before as (like my wardrobe :o ) there was a huge disparity between the fantasy & reality of my life ie * scared of the responsibilty & thinks a dog would be a tie in case of all those fabulous weekends away, exotic holidays etc whilst wearing slinky tops & strappy heels* :rotfl: ...

The reality is I wear jeans & boots most days & the majority of our social life/entertaiment is spent in parks & woods or occasional days out to the beach  . I am going to be a full time parent for the next 10 years & it's unlikely i'll be getting any more free holidays so may as well accept life as it is & at least have a cuddly companion to snuggle up to during the cold misery of holidays in tents, & get lots of lovely free exercise too :D

That's exactly what I think:rotfl: :o Am always saying when i get my own house I'll get a dog, for security and to force me to walk more and to have something nice to come home to, then I think hang on, what about when I meet someone and he whisks me off on all the fabulous European city breaks/wants me to stay over. Who will look after the dog? :o

P.S Have just spent £78 on the Clarks website on 4 gorgeous pairs of shoes. In my defence they were reduced from £280. I shall take them on my European city breaks.

I love walking which is why my dogs mean a lot to me, my sister says I wander anywhere, but I love been on top of an hill in the middle of nowhere eating my sarnies and drinking coffee, it's sheer bliss, my sister would have a fit if I went on my own, cos apparantly it ain't safe, there's more nutters in town so I reckon I'm pretty safe.

£78 on 4 pairs of shoes from £280 is good but aren't you on the £100 clothing challenge thingy or does it not include shoes ?

Which shoes by the way - put a linky thing on here
