My DMP when I was paying £105 a month was 123 months now I am paying £70 a month it is 185 months  As far as I know, if they default me then when it gets sold to a DMC at least the interest stops etc I think, really not sure :(

not sure if this will help but this is what happened with me

April 08 - interest is added again and year interest free ends

October 08 - bos/halifax agree to the payment plan and accept the payments

December 22nd receive default notification dates 18th december and have a hissy fit

19th january still have had nothing to date

so come April it will be a year since interest has been restarted

I have no idea how long after default notice does it get passed to DCA but as far as im aware they stop interest
 sometimes my debt panics me..... EVEN after 4 years or so.

I will be free in less than three years with a trust deed - my only option as debt management was taking too long :(

Yeah they will probably default you anyway if your on a DMP for any length of time they might do it a bit quicker and save you some money if you can't pay what they want. Once they've defaulted they sell it on to a DMC. This will mean no more interest charges ect are added so your debt finally starts reducing. The only problem is you then have to deal with the debt collectors.

It all depends on what company you get how easy they are to get along with. Untill today I've been lucky and had no trouble with them as long as I've paid them something each month. Today however I had a run in with a very unpleasant one . I don't know if its just the individual I spoke to or the company yet though. I'm writting them a very polite letter telling them how much I will be paying each month and I don't care if they don't agree its all they are getting. I just have to wait and see what happens. Its times like this I wish I had a suger daddy to go running to and get him to deal with the nasty people :rotfl:.

Sarah - you are v. bad. Last night ordered two pairs of boots...in the 70% off and they mightn't both fit so will probably return one or both.

I used to have rubbish PMT and the worst thing was - I never realised at the time. I would feel really awful and cry at everything, a week later I'd get my period and go 'of course - I wasn't losing my mind after all'. .... I'd then forget this the following month. I never found anything to fix psycological symptoms but am now on implant, had bad symptoms for 3 mths but now nothing at all and have been using it happyily for 3 1/2 yrs now. No more PMT / PMS :j :j

On TV last night they were advertising a new film called 'He's not that into you' based on the book. I'm looking forward to seeing it - will have to go with single pal though!!

I'm seeing ex tonight, we're going swimming so at least if turns out badly I will have done some exercise this week! :rotfl:

i lost the plot when i was pmt i was so clumsy talked backwards had horrendous headaches, cried, shouted, and seriously if someone even looked at me the wrong way id flip. the depo-provera saved my life and probs saved others as well. A lot of professionals shall we say dont believe pmt exists never mind try and find a cure for it or even just help.

i used to say to my gp come and live with me when im off on one his reply its all in your head

Surely they can see you don't have it and it's not like you are refusing to pay anything. icon8.gif

Re job, qualifications are not the be all, I think the interview is the most important bit, and doing the courses shows you are keen and willing to learn, which is much more important. Plenty of people have been out of the job market for a while, I'm sure they will be sympathetic to that, I think they tend to go for the people they click with, not the most qualified. You just need to get in there and shine.

Mags what kind of debt is it for? For my loan they passed it pretty quickly I think it was less than a month. For my overdraft it was probably about a month or so. For my credit card however I received my last statement in September, have never had a default notice (although I'm sure they will claim to have sent one) and have just heard from the debt collectors. So possibly about 2-3months since it defaulted. They do usually do it pretty quickly though.

Sounds like my male GP who was insistent for over 2 years that my coil had no bearing on my depression/anxiety etc, he told me it was work related stress and to quit my job asap and have some more Prozac! Lo and behold, when it was removed I changed practically overnight

its for a credit card been on debt managment for two years come 1st feb paid off at least 1500 of it and was really proud of that and then they hit me with everything and now the debt of the credit card is higher than the original one as they added everything late payments the lot to add more onto it.

I just want it passed on. they have now reduced the interest down to the lowest they say they can go so I pay £63 them but only half of that is going to the debt :(

today has been a poop day and I just wanna curl up and sleep till tomorrow i have no fight in me
