Just watched King Kong and had a good old cry at it. I feel much better now. Bleeding long film though!!
I agree that being an only child has its advantages. At least I can't be compared to anyone. And I have loads of cousins in their late 30's, none of whom are married, so the heat is off me for now.
However, I have four parents (with step parents included) and I think that not having anyone to share responsibility with later in life will be difficult.LBM February 2008. DFD March 2013 19 August 2011Debt at LBM £14,395.48. Debt Now £00 -
I'd drink port on it's own. I love that kind of thing at Christmas. It's like drinking sherry or something so I would have a small glass - not like a wine glass or anything!!!I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0 -
Stupid question: I am cutting down on drinking but I'm not stopping completely:D and have a small bottle of port here, about 10cl, does anyone know what you drink it with? Have never had port before, it was part of a present. I know you have port and lemon, but how much of each and is there anything else it goes with? It seems quite strong, surely you don't drink it neat?
I've just googled this as I had no clue, and apparently it's meant to be neat but with decent food with it. I shall copy and paste from a forum I found
"save an apettite, get some nice french bread and quality tasty cheese, and bottoms up at room temperature. Once you open the bottle, you can't save it, it goes bad."
"Port is fortified wine, drink it at room temperature in suitable glassware (looks like a smaller wine glass), no ice. It's great as an after dinner treat (or pre dinner), try serving it with fresh cut apples, stilton or blue cheese, grapes walnuts or just with really fine chocolate!"
And my personal favourite...
"I used to drink port with a large amount of whisky and beer beforehand. Funny, I don't remember if it was chilled or warm. "LBM February 2008. DFD March 2013 19 August 2011Debt at LBM £14,395.48. Debt Now £00 -

I watched Bridget Jones with a friend not that long ago - couldn't understand all the fuss. I mean, was she seriously attracted to the foppish guy or the curly haired guy? Ew. I couldn't get that worked up about either of them.
Having said that, someone at my work met the curly-haired guy in it and said he's very attractive in real life.
Notice how my standards are so high LOL!!!Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
