christ, I dared to post a reply on on the house price thread and someone just stuck the boot into me.
I might as well go and top myself now, I'm even getting abuse on here. I can't take it anymore.
Pink Twirl, Just ignore the idiot who has been !!!!!! with you on the other boards..some of them are sadly just pathetic and like to swing their virtual weight about..

Hi,
I just closed the website down and then reopened it after a break, all I said to someone was "my fixed deal ends in 3 years, I'd be interested in what advice you get" to which someone reply "anything can change in that time, what advice are you after?!?!!!!"
I mean for pete's sake, you can't even show an interest without people getting shirty.
I'm just in a mental state at the moment and the holidays are leaving me more time to think than work.
I'm not up to much, tidying up the last things of my move, I had one box left to empty out and it was full of junk.
I think a run to Tesco to get food is in order!
Thanks for the reply, I'm just going to stick to the debt-free boards. If I ever need advice about mortages or credit cards I'll see an IFA!0 -

Hi Yargo - I'd take it back, they normally give refunds easily so I would take it all in and explain what happened and that you want a refund.
Hey Pink, I'm sorry you seem so down. I would def stay clear of House Price board, I've read other threads on there and some posters on there are not very understanding or thoughtful - they seem to quickly post without giving it any thought and consideration as to how it might be read.
I agree with the idea of not giving out your number for a while. It can be hard trying to make friends. I've often made friends through work - but it does depend on where you work and what they are like - it doesn't always work out!!
Maybe try and think of things you enjoy doing on your own. I do a lot on my own as my interests don't always coincide with my friends. For example I go to the cinema a lot and also go to art gallerys. I really enjoy it and although it was a bit hard at first to go on my own, I soon got used to it. Just an idea - you may do that anyway.
Anyway all the best for the next few days, and a big hug :xmassmileI've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0 -
PinkTwirl - Hun don't let the bar stewards get you down! Its always the same, when you are down someone takes a dig at you. Just promise me you wont leave our thread, screw every other forum, just stay here xx
Shoe Gal - That sounds like a reasonable target! Still trying to decide on my first target for 2009, maybe 13st 6lb so that will mean 3 stone in total I have lost and should see me comfortably into a size 16, although it means I am down to about 5 items of clothes lol!
Yargo - New start in 2009, I am pretty sure this week I have gained over 5lbs, will have to see when I weigh tomorrow! Mr T's is not in my good books either after their substitutions in my shopping delivery being more expensive and less quantity then what I ordered :rolleyes:0 -

Hi Ossireo
My problem is I have loads of clothes to fit a smaller size but nothing to wear now! I'm still in my pyjamas!!!
Think it's time I dug out an exercise DVD, can't believe I've sat here all day in my pyjamas!!!Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -

That's terrible! They may well do something about it, you could call them and give them a try, there is always safety behind a phone! I know I put my faith in them to scan the items properly, I never check.
Thanks0 -

You are kidding - what is wrong with some of the people on these boards?! I have no problem with anyone here reading what I have posted. I know the people on these boards here are nicer and far less likely to be nasty (well, they won't be at all from what I have experienced). I think some people like to start arguments and then get really nasty when people stand up for themselves.
That means that that person has gone into my thread history and is reading my posts to other areas of the forum. How sad!
I will be staying here but definitely not posting on any other threads, had my fingers burnt twice on the house price forum, but never on the DFW forum.
Anyway, thanks for yours and everyone's posts, it has lifted the cloud a bit.0
