  • Hello all, hope you all had a lovely Christmas and got lots of lovely things and had lots of delicious food and drink and a good rest. :D Amongst other things I got more toiletries:D as I forgot to tell everyone I don't need them, must remember for next year.:o Have been eating lots of fabby things (and still am) so am definitely starting the diet on 1st Jan.

I have been to the sales but not gone too mad, have been on the online sales as well and had a book voucher and some Boots points so have spent approx £70 on £240 worth of things:j so am very happy with that. Might do a bit more tomorrow and then that will be it I think.

Am stuck on my list, I am up to #57, am full of good intentions but need another 43 of them.

    Hey everyone,

May I join you? I'm recently single (though ex is still on the scene in a completely muddled up way) and working my way out of debt and currently feeling like a bit of a loser in comparison to my financially solvent happily coupled up friends.

I hate this time of year - it tends to make me reflect and feel a bit of a down that I've not accomplished what I wanted.

I like the idea of the list of 100 things for 2009 - might be a good way to give me some sense of direction. Has anyone created a vision board? Its very Oprah Winfrey I know but the idea is that you create a visual representation of the things you want to bring into your life (magazine clippings, images, words etc) and by clarifying and focusing on what you want you will attract these things into your life.

I was thinking of giving it a go

I made a vision board last year but I stopped because I rearranged my room and moved it and didn't put it back and funnily enough your post just reminded me of it. I have found the board again and put it on my list to do for 2009. I like cutting out pics and putting them on a board because I do think it helps to have a visual representation of what you want, so thanks for reminding me:D

    Thanks Sarah!

I was beginning to feel a little nuts about doing a vision board but I'm glad to hear that it might actually serve a purpose!

I'm wide awake with earache so I think I might start doing it now!

I used to feel a bit daft doing it, but there is safety in numbers:D . Used to hate having to rush to take it down when anyone came into my room in case they thought I was mad:D

  • Hi all

Hope everybody had a fabulous Christmas and you're enjoying either holidays or a lovely quiet time at work.

Welcome Midgie :hello: I like the vision board idea, it would help use up the magazines I need to move. (*but decides including photos nicked from Facebook definitely stalkerish*)

I have stayed out of the sales partly through lack of interest and partly because have horrible cold and sore throat, so staying longer at parent's being fed and enjoying the novelty of central heating. Did just buy the FlyLady site debt busting book tho and was  at the exchange rate! Will report back when have read it.

  • Hello everyone.

Hope you manged to get through Xmas with Chocolate and wine to spare!

Sitting here, quaffing a South African Pinotage (courtsey of Sis No.2).

Xmas was fun my 9 year old DD has put me in the BEST DAD class, as Santa supplied a Yamaha keyboard (like the one she has at school, so have spent the last day listening to EuroTrance tunes in D minor (it's the only key she knows). Now she's gone home to MUM, I can practice my Beethoven Piano Sonata (the Moonlight), until I work out how to reproduce the Jimmy Page riff from Whole Lotta Love! Why is it that Santa only gets the presents right as you get older?:rotfl:

Have managed to stay away from the shops today, but I here those brown boots a-calling.

One of things on my 10[strike]0[/strike] things to do in 2009 list.

How are things with everyone else?

    hello Midgie

None of us ever accomplish all the things we set out at the beginning of the year, If we did we'd have very little to do in 2009!
