I've never been one to drink at home over xmas. Going out for a mates birthday on xmas eve and getting battered is a tradition but once I wake up on xmas day I'm sober for a few days. The size of a glory hole in an open pit should not be greater than the cross-section of the haul trucks that dump into it. Otherwise, you are bound to lose a truck, sooner or later. Source: Sergio Cha

Hi all!
I've just had my 3rd roast chicken dinner in 3 days!! (I'd already bought everything before my date blew me out). Will happily just have soup for the next couple of days - no more chicken and roasted veggies for me for a while!! I've just realised, though, that I don't have anything in for Christmas dinner... Might go crazy and get myself a juicy steak followed by all the chocolate in the house
Had lunch with a pal at work today. She'd asked for a chat about all things MSE as she's been saving for a house for ages and wants to know how to save more. We got chatting and she told me she had about £6k of debt, but also had around £12k in savings!!! I ordered her to go home immediately and write cheques to clear her debts so she can start the year debt free!! I do love her, but what a numpty!! :rotfl:
I also did the first of my things on my 100 list today. I had a massage, and have booked one for next month :T It might seem extravagant for some (£25 a pop), but my shoulders are SO knotted that I need it just to keep off the painkillers, so it's kind of physio
Just watching Sex and the City on telly (my pals where I'm house/cat-sitting have Sky TV, what a luxury!). How y'all doing tonight?£27k (excluding interest) paid off in 29 months
Finally debt free!0 -
Buffy, have you thought any more about the driving lessons? My pal (who came round for dinner tonight) told me that she got some free lessons and driving test related stuff for her daughter using her Tesco vouchers. Don't know the full details, though. Will go & have a look...

Hi all, am struggling with my list, can't remember how I got to 100 last year, even though I added some after the new year. I shall have to root out my replacement list from this year, I think it's lurking in the self help book pile. Well I haven't started writing it down yet but in view of the fact that I still haven't packed for my trip to my parents for Xmas and I have to be finished before I leave for work tomorrow morning, I think something about being more organised for trips will have to be on there.....
I saw a friend yesterday and she gave me an ice-cream maker as a belated b'day gift. So I think I might put make ice-cream once a month on the list....:jI've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0
