    I don't have a house :(

I'm shacking up with a series of girls atm, all friends that don't mind sharing a bed with me.

I want to do the 100 things list but seeing as I have to spend at least 6months of 2009 in australia I won't be able to do much due to the whole no friends/money/transport thing.

You make spending 6 months in Australia sound like a prison sentence! Why not spend some holiday time doing some internet research about what you can do with your weekends when you get back there? Someone (I think it was Sunderland Black Cat) mentioned before that there are usually ex Pat groups out there, so you could have a look see if you can find one and go & investigate.

So you don't have transport, but Australia must have transport! Can't you get the train to somewhere? Or take some holiday and go & visit places of interest. Think of it this way... this could be the last time you visit Australia. How would you feel if, in 40 years time, your grandkids ask you what Australia was like and you say "I don't know, I didn't have a car/any friends/anything to do".

Start your list of 100 things and make sure half of them are for things to do in Australia!!

Crikey, I'm a right old bossy boots tonight aren't I?!! It's all done with love, I hope you understand :o

Hey, I'm terrible at taking my own advice so I know where you're coming from. Just imagine instead that it's your best friend in this situation. What would you say to him/her?

I really appreciate it, keep bossing! I just find it easier to be negative.

Atm I'm finding that my pathetic wages (£120 a week) are disappearing too quickly, I went to a motorbike show in sydney and that left me almost without food for a week! I spent the first 6wks going out on my own and only made friends with a bouncer! I was sure that things will improve now my boss is paying for my car license but I'm sick of being on my own out there. Fit girl has a sister out there though so could be a handy contact....

To really understand what it's been like read my blog at https://www.a-year-in-oz.blogspot.com
