Poo, I've managed to spend £240 since Friday and it scares me :(

  • I've done similar! I love Xmas though and just can't stop myself - well, not totally true as this year the whole of Xmas has cost me about £130 which I think good going.

I know my Xmas pressie from my Mum is £100 towards a new PC (which is about £300 in total), so it's kind of balanced itself out in the grander scheme of things.

Suppose that's the good thing having no other half - Xmas is pretty cheap!
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

I've bought a student rail card (£24) + 3 rail tickets (£51) + 3 gig tickets (£24) then the rest has gone on food and booze (lots of booze!)

Luckily I've only got another 4-5 nights out before I go back to Oz lol.

I spent all my money on wine, women and song - the rest I wasted.

God I am rather p*ssed at Mr T's at the moment. Managed to get a delivery slot for today, they substituted several things that cost me a lot more (for example I had ordered a block of 600g cheese for £2.99 and they changed it for 2x200g for £4.49! Box of Licorice Allsorts 600g £1.54 to 2 x 215g for £2.56!) as it was deliverd to my mums I didnt get chance to return the items to the driver, and to be honest I cant face arranging to return and waiting the 3 weeks for a refund lol

Think I am defiantly sticking to ADSA from now on, they say they wont charge you more for items that are substituted!

    Anyway mini rant over :rotfl:

Hope you are all just about ready for xmas, I am popping to M& S tomorrow after DS has gone to his dads as me & mum have £14 voucher to spend so going to grab something nice for the evening (if anything is left) while we put up the tree.

Xmas day is a bit hectic for me .. have to collect DS at midday, call to my aunts to say hi (which is where I normally have dinner) then head over to SC house for dinner, then return to my house to open the couple of presents DS has in my house. SC has offered to drive my car for me if I want to have a drink or two with dinner, but not sure yet.

Weighed yesterday, only put on half a lb, pretty amazing considering all the stuff I have eaten :o weighing next monday, so will see the real damage then ;)

Will have a go at starting a list for 2009, I look forward to this thread continuing on wards & upwards!

    party0036.gif Cheers all!

I went in to M and S, got basket, got pushed quite hard in front of the fresh fruit(!) put basket down and left! that may have also been due to catching sight of a headline about a couple who's children where shot dead who are now adopting and then being practically in tears! :o then buying the big issue off a girl outside....

Sainsbury was crazy but in a well mannered sort of way! a really nice man stopped to let me go down an aisle and wished me merry Christmas. which also nearly made me cry!
