I wandered through town but only went into one shop before abandoning all hope. People just seem to get so bloody rude when xmas shopping :(

On the plus side I'm going to meet my ex and go for a drive in 15mins :)

I'm sorry for the demon I've become but you should be sorry for the angel you are not.
  • I spent all my money on wine, women and song - the rest I wasted.

Unfortunately George Best got there before you......
At least he found Miss World and Champagne. What did you get?

I've bought a student rail card (£24) + 3 rail tickets (£51) + 3 gig tickets (£24) then the rest has gone on food and booze (lots of booze!)

Luckily I've only got another 4-5 nights out before I go back to Oz lol.

TDQO, welcome back to Blighty, unfortunately a lot has changed in the last few months. The pound is heading down the pan.

Don't swap those Australian dollars into pounds, you won't get anywhere near as much in five days time....

  • I went in to M and S, got basket, got pushed quite hard in front of the fresh fruit(!) put basket down and left! that may have also been due to catching sight of a headline about a couple who's children where shot dead who are now adopting and then being practically in tears! :o then buying the big issue off a girl outside....

Sainsbury was crazy but in a well mannered sort of way! a really nice man stopped to let me go down an aisle and wished me merry Christmas. which also nearly made me cry!

    Evening everybody ....

Well, the Christams pudding is plucked and I've got the brandy for the turkey (is that the right way round...?)

I tried to avoid the shops today. I finshed work at 4.00pm and xmas starts here, hooray)

It's seems the supermarkets are to be avoided yet, i've still got to go and do a fresh food shop. Are you all suggesting it would be madness to try tomorrow:eek: ?

    Good evening everybody....

I've not been around for a while, been busy working and all the usual xmassy stuff that keeps ya busy(and also been spending most nights with a male friend!)
Just got my laptop back today so I'll probably be around alot more now.
I've started my list but now stuck on 22. Most things cost money, I'm sure that's not the idea !

I've spend so much money recently. I've put £85 on my credit card and went over my overdraft today. I think i've kind of given up on moneysaving for this year and it's so close to January that I keep thinking 'oh well almost Jan, I'll start again then' It's not the best way to think but at least now I'm skint I've no more money to spend :)

I've bought loads if deodrant/soap/toothpaste/softner as a bit of a start for 4k challenge. Still havent decided wether to do it on the site or to just do it by myself this year as a practice for next year.

    Hiya Bowski

Xmas is bad news if you're in debt. I think I need to put a line through the debt free part of my signature, as I have put nearly £250 on the CC in the last 7 days, and it's probably going to take me 3 months to clear, so it happens to the best of us!

I guess the key point is, do you habve a plan to pay it back and a target to do it?

At least you'll smell nice in 2009 ......:rotfl:

    Have a great Xmas!

    hahaha... thanks Smiley..

Yeah I'm not too concerned as it's £85 I've put on my card I can pay that off in a oner, not got council tax feb/march so can use the spare money for my card. And overdraft was only by a few quid so put it in from my savings but when I get paid tomorrow I'll put the few quid back in my savings.
It's just that I'd done so well not to put anything on credit card, if I've not had the money for things I've just not bought it simple as! But like I say with it being near to Jan I'm thinkin what the heck!

Good luck with paying your CC off, maybe you could do the payment a day challenge to get it down quicker?

Not many more details I'm afraid Ossireo

He came to fix my washing machine about 2 weeks ago and I've seen him everyday since haha!!
He's said he likes me and I do like him, he's definately a good one but there was one thing I learnt from my last relationship and that was that I wanted to be single for a long time!! So I've told him nothing can happen in the forseeable future for that reason. Last nite I stayed at his house as he helped me wrap some presents and he stayed in his kid's room and I stayed in his bed. I wanted him to stay in his bed just for a cuddle but it's not fair to do that when I know it can't go anywhere.

I want to be celibate for a while and so have challenged myself to not shave my legs till I go to Benidorm in March  I'm doing well so far, not done them since November. But they're starting to make me feel sick now haha! Sometimes I wonder if I've a screw loose!
