sorry sarah - didnt meant hijack the thread :o all talk of distant & recent ex's now over, havent told anyone yet & it all just flooded out so ... moving on

    I'm so dumb :o

I know loads of knights - a friend does some medieval reenactment & it's actually really good fun. I went along to a show all dressed up as a 'chatelaine' I think it means 'lady of the castle' & it was brilliant apart from the fact we werent supposed to wear any make up  .

It's ok though, i managed a couple of subtle coats of mascara ;) I seem to remember that I had quite a few compliments on the outfit (speaks volumes as to my face eh :rotfl: ) so perhaps long gowny type things are the way forward. Before you all rush off to find your nearest re enactment society I warn you that the men are usually spherical, beared & not particularly fragrant after waving their swords about on a battlefield for hours. I found the archers much more appealing - very Legolas ;)

I got my tarot cards read on the weekend and was told that in about 6 months I'm going to meet someone who I will be good friends with and then it will develop into something more....... this sounds really exciting and I sometimes think that the hope and possibility of something happening is enough to keep me feeling positive

How strange!!! I had that exact same tarot card reading... last January!! But I'm a cynic anyway, and only had it done because it was free.

Welcome to the thread by the way :D

I love women in those ye-olde-style dresses, mainly down to the emphasis on cleavage :D

24hrs and I'll be well on my way to catch my plane back to England, wooooo!

Thread hijacking is fine! We are here to offer support and you are NOT dumb, though it sounds like you know at least one person who is:rolleyes: Remember the mantra....:D

Anyway, I love those sort of gowns but you managed to make the eligibles sound very unappealing!

Am currently wrestling with a dilemma: do I rip open the expensive box of chocs I bought and have just wrapped for a colleague for Christmas, scoff them and replace tomorrow, or just stare at them wishing I could unwrap them open and scoff them. I paid for them, so technically they are still mine:D

:naughty: STEP AWAY FROM THE CHOCOLATES sarah

I am currently denying the existence of many choccy type things in the house & it's sheer torture. If I have to resist, so do you :p , i've already had to replace a reindeer & some truffles :o .

This is why I very rarely buy chocolate, it's far too easy to eat!

I say eat every last crumb in the house then tell everyone someone mugged you as you were carrying pressies to your car... win-win situation as they'll then buy you sympathy chocolate!

I will have to step away as like Lula I have already had to replace things.:o A box of matchmakers and some organic chocs so far:o Oh well. I shall try to hand them over tomorrow to avoid further temptation. Every year I tell myself, don't buy chocolates, you'll just eat them.

Next year everyone is getting a book.

Ooh! Good plan! Must make sure not to say it with a chocolate stained face though!
