I drove my ex away, and I drove him to hit me. I got too annoyed at the things he did and didn't do. It's taken me 31 years to realise either just accept it or leave.

Of course, he could still have done what he did and I'd still be in this position. I just beat myself up now for kind of causing my own loneliness.

Pink your ex hit you and hurt because he was cruel nasty human being. he is scum people who use violence to get their way are scum end of. love them by all means but do it from a distance. a big distance.

and he is that, just one human being, one tiny person who couldn't control himself. do you really want your(future) kids to be anywhere near some one who could hurt them? He is nothing.

He does not decide your future, you do. yes you will feel that gut wrenching sadness as anyone would who had lost some one they loved but you have no idea what tomorrow brings, I am not talking about blokes, I mean your WHOLE life, who knows what amazing things you could do. you have no idea new things, people, events, choices happen every day. take advantage.

  • I'm in the same boat as you all - and after recent events I feel completely sure that I'm no good even when I AM in a relationship.

I somehow turn into a different person - checking my phone every 10 minutes for a text, getting obsessive about what they're doing and why they want to do it without me, over-analysing EVERYTHING and generally coming to the wrong conclusions - so that's why I think I'll be eternally single. I seem to be miserable even when I am in a relationship.

God, reading that back makes me feel so sad. I wonder how I can possibly rectify something as huge as that?

    Me too. bloody mobile phones.

post brought by a horse thats what I want at least I would have a chance to get stuff done in between letters !!!

I think my expectations as far as men go were set artificially high at an early age with my Hart to Hart addiction when I was a kid. If he's not a self-made millionaire with a butler, a Rolls Royce and a butler, then I'm not interested!

Don't I just! :rotfl: I was going round bathroom showrooms a few years back in Hillington and stumbled into a v posh one where they had baths like that - ex was carrying on a civilised conversation with the salesman while I had visions of mr and mrs hart and wondered how we could fit it into a room that was smaller than it was!:rotfl: needless to say we went elsewhere...
