You're right, at least if you didn't hear from them for a week you would know why! And the post can only be checked once a day. And it's a lot harder to send a drunken letter than a drunken text:o Don't worry about the embarrassing checking, am right there with you:o

Me too. So glad it's not just me that does this!! And I would agree that post is a lot less worrying when it comes to waiting for a reply - a text could be almost instant which makes it all the more unbearable waiting! I mean, what could a man possibly be doing that's more important than replying to moi

So true! The agony of waiting combined with the knowledge that it could all be over in a second if the stupid thing would just beep!

  • Pink petal I think you need some of these :grouphug:- lots, in fact :grouphug: . And I have to also say you are better off without him - you can't drive someone to hit you, it's his choice and as someone has pointed out, he always had the option of leaving without doing that. Still you can join us to marinate your sorrows and we'll cheer you up ... wanna join me with a strawberry daiquiri or several?

I am also having a 'wish I wasn't single' phase after meeting someone in passing at the weekend. (He's unlikely to be interested and I'm not likely to see him again, but a crush is always fun.) Had a reeeallly long day at work and a breadmaker has somehow thrown itself into my Tesco's trolley... always a sign of 'I wish I didn't have to work and could spend more time at home'... it can join all the other kitchen stuff I don't have time to use :o . Aside from that I have decided to literally make room for someone in my life and moved to one side of the bed - I have been sleeping in the middle of my king size and decided maybe moving over will give me a subconscious reminder that there is a vacancy!

Have finally stopped running around the country though so now I can hang out with you lovely people again :D *sighs happily and snuggles into seat, cuddling strawberry daiquiri*

    Hello you lovely lot! :hello:

And hello to the boys!! :kisses: :rotfl:

Been away for a bit - my nephew's 5th birthday party (Dr Who themed - all had a fabulous time!) so didn't really have chance to post, although I've been reading and catching up. So much to say and so little time in which to say it (crikey, it's that late?!)

V quickly though... Pinkie, I know what you're feeling, but please remember that it will pass. That doesn't mean a guarantee of meeting the love of your life tomorrow, just that it will pass. It will, just keep strong and believe it will.

Boys - lovely to see you on board, and how fabulous that we now have access to male brains! I've long wondered how they work

Sarahb - just so's you know... I haven't been on a date with the dirty texter yet as we've both been busy. But, after being out of the office for nearly a week I was back in today and he was on IM straight away to see when I was free for our date. Checked both our diaries and the next available date is Sunday 21 December!! We're going to have Sunday lunch and see how it goes.

Okie doke - going to try to get some kip now, but I'll catch up with you later.

    Big hugs
    SuSu

:lovethoug (this is me reading your posts and thinking lovely thoughts for you all)

Hope you lke the girlie jokes (read through to the end, they get better).

P.S. Sarahb; what happened about the tooth. Did it go under the pillow for the tooth fairy?

    Talk soon, byeeee

    Welcome back Rosa:wave:

I do that, after it was recommended in a self help book!:o It also recommended that I make space in my wardrobe for someone else to hang their clothes. Can hardly shut the bloody thing, never mind make room:o
