Hey, I'm not going anywhere,
you guys are my friends :iloveyou: all
. It'll take more than one naughty week end to dislodge me
.
Had a pleasant evening last night & thanks for all the chat tips, I didnt need to worry as the usual people were there so it was just a case of catching up & chatting about stuff going on locally. Very tired & grumpy this morning though & relieved that I can stay in with you this evening
bye for now

Hi All,
Lula you lucky thing, anyway i've no exciting news to report, so i thought I'd just bore you to death with my ramblings, after having Monday and Tuesday off work i'm now back with the nutcases trying to make some sense, the lads have farted in my office and objected to been sprayed with pine airfreshner when I caught them, I long to work with people with more than 1 brain cell, anyway hope you've all had a good day and it'll soon be christmas, what joy, I'll be back later when I've finished hitting my head on the desk.0 -
Hmmm.
Am about to spend £176 on clothes in the sales, a lot I know but I have nearly £400 in Quidco money saved up and it is on clothes I have had my eye on for a while, it's a good sale, I will save £140.
One of the things is a skirt I really want, in fact I bought it last week at £65 but I took it back as I decided that was just stupidly expensive, it's now £40, another is a skirt I really loved but it was £100, I would never spend that much on one item, but now it is £50. I realise it is a lot of money but these are really good quality things that will last, so I will get lots of wear out of them, and the Quidco money is free:rolleyes: money and I have been saving it for a good spree. I was going to use it next year for treats but I will still have over £200 left.
What shall I do? I am supposed to be saving money, but I genuinely have been admiring these clothes for a few months and they won't get any cheaper than this.Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -
I having been having the same dilemma myself Sarah but this is where a good bit of my debt came from so trying hard to resist.
I WANT this dress for starts and theres 30% off so it seems daft not to but it's thinking like that got me here!

Oh skint spice, that dress is really pretty! 30% off as well:D
I know what you mean, it's where a good bit of my debt has come from too and I am trying to be more restrained, I did take the skirt back in the first place as I am trying to be sensible, the old me would have just bought all of it at pre-sale prices. However, is it really sensible for me to ignore them at such low(er) prices, as they really will last and it won't go on the credit card? This is of course just shopaholic code for "I want them.":DPay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -
I do those sort of justifications too but I have enough clothes (although I never have ANYTHING to wear). If you are going to buy them then buying them in the sale is the best you can do but can you live without them and how much will this help on reducing your DFD? if it's quite far away then you are obviously going to need some clothes before then though!Mortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000
