Hi guys, sorry not been around for a bit. Well my mate had met a guy on match. who she didnt think she liked enough but thought we would get on...so 4 dates later...and today he dumps me... i know it wasnt a long "relationship" but i liked him yknow. What a sh* life is .. i can not understand why i struggle to find someone decent and keep them. Like sarah its hard to know why/how ... im feeling really fed up now! He said that i was "too much" lol .. so after saying how he needed lots of affection im struggling to see how... Oh well.. his loss... but mine too!
Off to the gym and hope to catch you guys on here later... god knows i could do with some cheering up.. but seems as though we are all dumpy at the mo. x
Oh Yargo, how crappy. Hope you're ok. By "too much" he meant too good for him. Think of it as a lucky escape. You are too fab for him and that is the end of the matter. I was wondering if you had met someone, as you hadn't been on for a while. Big hugs, hope the gym helps, must admit I fall headfirst into the vodka when that happens to me.Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -

I don't know whether this has filtered through to to people I meet who probably think of me as being quite cold which I'm certainly not. Indeed, someone at work recently said to me, "You're hardly a romantic" and that actually really hurt me. I'm not a hearts and flowers girl - I never wanted to be a little fairy Princess and to this day - and I think sometimes people think that because I'm not your stereotypical 'girl' that it means that I don't want to fall in love.
What a thoughtless thing to say! I think people tend to assume single women in their 30s just aren't interested in marriage or relationships. Some of us aren't and some of us are! I'm sure people think the same of me as I hardly spend my time at work bemoaning being single. It's annoying when people make assumptions about it.Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -

Lula - generally in the "in-between and looking" in my case. When in actual relationship have more interesting things to do, when at ending stages too annoyed/ upset to deal with rubbish about how it's just his inner armadillo/ his Martian tendencies/ my lack of surrendered-wifeness/ etc. I don't think you're missing much, tbh. The only one I won't be recycling to the chazza shop is one based on MBTI psychological typing, because that actually makes sense - I have the work relationships version too. Meanwhile, how's your car-hunting going?
Happy Tuesday all
Rosa xx
MBTI is a great system. I did a psychology degree and working in mental health before I realised I'm as barking as they come. The MBTI personality index is great and it's also a great way to get into Jungian psychology. I'm an INFP btw
Thank you all for your warm welcome. I'll definitely check out the singles section later.
I have a real problem with impulsivity and spending. I'd be ok if I could control this. I'm in therapy and working on it but it's hard.

Someone should start a thread about this:D

Anyway, first things first. Hardly your fault. How could it possibly be? You trust what someone says, if they present themselves as a decent person and appear to be so, then you have to accept that. Unfortunately !!!!!! people- of both sexes- don't announce themselves with the words "I am going to use you and let you down." They say the exact same things as decent people do. That's how they get us in the first place. Which makes it very hard to separate the wheat from the chaff at the beginning. In the absence of a crystal ball the only way round it is to spend time with them and see if they are compatible and want the same things. Or if they are a lying toad.
Try to look at the positives here, I know it's hard when you are feeling raw. The main one is that at least you found out early. You didn't waste a year finding this out. You had a nice time while it lasted. You haven't had your heart broken. You have had a reminder of what you don't want in a person so you will be more clear in your mind about what you do want. I know this hardly makes you feel much better but remember you are a fab and lovely person and he should be thanking his lucky stars he got to spend some time with you.
If he comes crawling back, be ruthless!
