It's definitely worth a try, am so sick of spending £80-£150:o and coming home upset. And if the you decide you like the new one, that could be a good saving over the year. Well done on DFD by the way, 9 months to go is brilliant. :jPay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -

do you remember the days the hairdresser couldn't do your hair as well as you? I do. Now it's trying like mad to recreate the finish they did!
I'll give it a try, considering the mess it's in at the minute they can only improve it!:DMortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Oh absolutely! I spent years scuttling home to sort my hair out after an expensive trip to the hairdressers, hoping I didn't bump into anyone I knew on the way! These days I think "how will I get it that smooth and shiny by myself?"At least I can give it a good go now with all the new styling products I have found:rolleyes:

evening all
still single still in debt!
Sarah, I am doing the 100 days challenge? cos I have a similar toiletries addiction - one storage box plus drawer, I have used some stuff up and had to buy new toner and cleanser! without having any half filled bottles lying around. Its been quite the revelation!!
I am going to trying to stock up before the start of the year cos I am going to do the 4000 a year challenge.
Tomorrow I am having a clean out and chuck away day.
I have a cold. so now have to find tissues urgently!Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
Hi Buffy, I did start the 100 day challenge, but I think I said crisps and cakes, can't remember if I mentioned toiletries; anyway, I have had to delete it from my sig as failed miserably.:o I am going to do the £4000 in a year as well I think, am constantly amazed by that thread! If I could do that I would be able to save loads towards my house. Will also do my own no toiletries for a year challenge, (not much of a challenge in that, more of a "remember not to buy any".:o ) Will be stocking up on a couple of things I don't have and I'm good to go.
Am determined to keep to 3-4 challenges for the whole of the year so I don't keep starting them and giving up!
Hope you feel better tomorrow xxxPay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -
Hello everyone... I'm thinking I might attempt the 4k challenge too, what's putting me off is that I'm going to benidorm in March for a long weekend :j and also I'm definately taking DD on holiday next year, she's been brilliant with the whole MSE thing that I've been doing this year and we were meant to be going this year but I want to be debt free first and she's fine with that. I'm not too sure of the way it works but could I have a holiday fund thats seperate to my weekly/monthly budget??
I don't think I've posted for a while, I have been reading still tho. It's been the school holidays so quite an expensive week compared to when DD's at school and I'm at work. I'm a bit skint at the moment but all payments are up to date and I've still managed to keep up with my payment a day.
It's DD's birthday a week tomorrow and I'm sooooo excited!! She's not got alot but she's got enough so I just need some wrapping paper a card and some banners/ballons and I'm all sorted!! I've got money put away for a trip to the cinema with her friends that is her b'day treat. I planned on saving £70 for it so I could get them all a drink and a pack of sweets aswell but actually ended up with £110 so yesterday I took the extra £40 out and went to JJB and bought her some very much needed trackies x2 and a hoodie! She was desperate for them, couldn't even tell you the last time I bought her clothes. It came to £54 altogether so I only paid £14 out of this weeks money coz the rest had been saved.
Got some much welcome post off housing benefit (that doesnt happen often) that my housing benefit is going up from £12 a week to £59 a week !!!! So I'm going to be so much better off!! But for the last about 4 months I've been £25 a week down due to paying HB overpayments and paying off the arrears on my rent and all that should be coming to an end before xmas so I'm gonna be a hell of alot better off. I'm going to do a new SOA in the next few days when I know exactly how much I still owe HB and arrears, am looking forward to that!!!
I seem to have a bit of a hoard of shampoo/conditioner and toothpaste, I only ever buy them if they're on offer (im the same with beans and soap powder) so I usually get2 if they're BOGOF or if they're half price I buy 2. I might stock up a bit more when I get my high street vouchers ready for the 4k challenge.
Hope everyone's ok and had a good weekend. I'm really looing forward to going back to work tomorrow and getting back into routine. only been to the gym twice this week  but did lose half a lb :rolleyes:Initial Debt July 2020 - £6,772.80

That's what I do too. Hate paying full price for things. The only problem is I got a bit too good at it.:rolleyes:Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -
