Single and in debt.

Hmmm, you'll be glad I had the crisps & you didnt at the next weigh-in
I feel a bit of a fraud being on this thread sometimes as although single & in debt, I'm not really alone as I have DD at home, so usually have company if I need it. I cant imagine not having her although somtimes I do wonder what I would be doing with my life if I was completely free to do as I choose.
I probably shouldnt say this but to me, having a child is far more rewarding & long lasting than having a man so if that is your main aim then it is perfectly possible to be a committed / conscientious / loving parent without being married - in spite of what my dad says  - & in this era it is possible to do that. I'm not saying that men are irrelevant or unnecessary, just that you do have more options than just the finding Mr. Right & settling down one.

Lula, you are so right, I have given myself a certain amount of time to meet someone, then if I don't I will go it alone. I know plenty of people who have, I know it is doable. I do want to meet Mr Right. But I also know I have choices if I don't. Thanks, Lula. It's nice to know people understand that although it may not be everyone's choice it is a viable option and perfectly accepable. evening/morning people!! Well I've been working tonite and got £8 tips woohoo!! so thats going to pay for my DD's school dinners next week, won't be coming out of my wages as usual
I've got my sponsored walk tomorrow (12.5miles) so been and bought some trainers today. I have also arranged a night out with my friends to wakefield in 7 weeks time, so I've decided as I have 13 gym sessions and a pair of trainers now that as of Monday I'm gonna make the gym part of my routine. I'm doing shockingly bad with the eating at the moment and just don't seem to be able to get back into it, so I thought if I can do the gym 3/4 times a week then surely its gotta be better than eating that stuff and not exercising?? So thats it, i've told you's all now, so I'm gonna have to go!! I just need to make it routine, it only needs to be for an hour every other day or so. Also, all my clothes are practically falling off me at the moment, nothings comfortable but as I'm right into this money saving at the moment I dont want to buy any clothes but I have decided i'm going to treat myself to some the weekend I go awaySomething to look forward to and focus on that isn't too far away.
NDP... Hope you had a good night tonite if you went. You'll have to let us know how you got on.
Oh gees, I guess I'd best go to bed, walk starts at half 9 in the morning and I've still loads to do, don't even know what I'm wearing yet, might turn up in just my trainers lol

Thanks to those kind enough to suggest I should go. If only I could have obliged you. Gah!
I stayed in and watched ‘Strictly’ instead. At least I’m not in a worse position than before and I saved some money. I have instead signed up to a wine-tasting course which – with smaller numbers all-round – might be more my thing. (I’m a bit old for discos; to me a DJ is something you wear to a black tie function.) Could always get sozzled if things don't go well. :rotfl:
I liked hearing about the maiden aunts living full and varied lives. I wonder if there’s an equivalent term for uncles? I don’t mind having the freedom to do what I want when I please (subject to money, of course!). As Vera Peiffer says in ‘Positively Single’ the fact is we don’t need anyone, but that said, it’d be nice to have someone to share the good times with.
Hope all's well with everyone today!

What does everyone else do to distract themselves when they get chocolate cravings? I'm having a moment and don't want to undo all the good work I've done (I went for a 3 mile run this morning) :rolleyes:LBM February 2008. DFD March 2013 19 August 2011Debt at LBM £14,395.48. Debt Now £00

Runmichellerun how about a low calorie choc drink that you add to hot water? You can get sachets of them. Personally for me if I need chocolate I NEED chocolate and nothing else will do lol Luckily these day's I don't need it so much now I'm not eating it everyday.
Wow a 3 mile run...thats fantastic!! Well done you :T
eco... I've been to Wakey before didnt have any problems, although where I am from, the street with the niteclubs on is gets called the Gaza strip. so maybe I'm used to it lol

Thank you. yes I'm afraid I gave in to the temptation, but I weighed myself this morning and have lost a little since I last weighed myself in the middle of August. So today's weight is going to be the one I start from on the weight loss challenge if that's ok. I would therefore like to lose 8 1/2 pounds.
As for your suggestion, the problem might be that if it's in the cupboard I may not be able to stop drinking hot choc. I love it. But if it's low cal...
I don't know about anyone else but I only get these cravings when I'm bored, sat at home and just watching TV. Never ever get cravings when I'm out and about.LBM February 2008. DFD March 2013 19 August 2011Debt at LBM £14,395.48. Debt Now £00 -
Thank you everyone for your well dones on the job! They mean a lot! I haven't accepted yet as I have another interview tomorrow so going to see how that one goes....
Tonight I'm going to walk home from work to try to kick start my weight loss. There is a great website - https://www.walkit.com - it tells you how far it is and how long it will take you if you walk fast, medium or slow and how many calories you burn!
Hope you're all good x x x0
