Hi everyone, foot is fine now thank you, and I think I have finally got all the glass out of the carpet, will be avoiding alcohol for a few days though, I think!
Weighed myself this morning, have lost a whole pound. Finally!:jWell done Ossireo, our total is looking a lot healthier thanks to you!
Paddlingfuriously, great news on job! It's good to have options, even if you don't take it in the end.
eco, I hope your intended victim is still alive, or at the very least you manage to sort out an alibi:D
Dr Lula, think you are right, much better to have a couple of glasses than to fall head first into the biscuit tin, or my absolute nemesis, the crisp packet. *shakes fist at the evil inventor of salt and vinegar crisps*

my victim has been proved wrong haha, serves her right and i went into work this morning with one thought I was going to fight all the way, bit of a let down really, don't worry Lula I wouldn't have left the southern comfort it never lasts long enough here.
Well done everyone on the weight loss, keep chipping away at it, and hope your foot is better Sarah, I smashed a glass on the floor same as you try not to drink in bed now I'm the clumsy one in my family, anyway it was a limited edition SC glass I was gutted.0 -
Good evening everyone! You're all doing so well on our cacky diet, but I'm being a bit of a let down i'm afraid... I put 1lb on this week

Good job there's no minus on this plan hey lol Still a big fat zero for me but I can handle that as my clothes are all still massive on me, if it wasn;t for my belt, my trousers would be round my ankles lol
PF...thats great news about your job, good luck with whatever you decide to do.
Gees, you lot and your wine, I'm so glad I don't drink it...seems like more hassle than its worth, I'm sure you's will beg to differ tho lol

Been away from the thread for a while. Hope all's well despite romantic ups and downs!
I have a singles party I could attend tonight and I am utterly conflicted about attending. ('Utterly conflicted' could be my middle names; no wonder I never get anything done!) Anyhoo, my pros and cons for going is as follows:
Cons:
£25 entrance fee plus drinks
Plus money for getting home
Shyness; rubbish at chat
Pros:
Not as random as real life; people who want to form relationships will be there.
Plus The One could be there. £25 etc could be very little to pay for that.
Gets me out of the flat.
One the one hand, we must put ourselves in the shop window with optimism, otherwise we might as well give up. On the other hand, I'm an member of DFW; I'm supposed to be saving money for godsake.
Hmpf! Sorry to drone on.

Go. No questions asked, and the money thing is just an excuse because you're nervous (I assume - because that would be my excuse)
The thing is, you can't give up your social life just because of money. And £25 isn't going to bankrupt you. So long as you don't go every week, I think a one-off is absolutely fine.
Please go, and let us know how you get on!
