I can now declare that according to my scales this morning there is actually 2 whole lbs less of me :j & I've already put it in my sig.

    Huge grats Lula!!!!:j:j:j
  • Well done Lula - that is great! :j :j :j

The good news is that I got through to the second round of interviews! The bad news is that means I have to make up another excuse to be out of work for a morning and have to do a writing test - eeek!

I haven't weighed myself this week - I've been at a conference and there was nothing healthy to eat there. Honestly - nothing! I feel like I've eaten my own body weight in warm sandwiches and battered prawns

Sorry to read people haven't been having the best times this week - chins up ladies - onwards and upwards - there are fabulous men out there and pounds waiting to fling themselves from our bodies - we just have to believe we deserve them!

Just thought, on a lighthearted note, I'd add to this. It could be worse - you could be a chivalrous gent and have all the above bill/debt issues, but are adding to it by taking your girlfriend out for dinner every week :D

Hmm see that's a tough one TB, clearly need to brush up those culinary skills and wine and dine the girlfriend at home (having shopped the good old MSE way of course. should have jumped in on that Tesco champagne misprice deal that everyone was talking about!!)

What was the champagne misprice deal? I used to be a regular up until about a year ago and have only just decided to get back into it so to speak.

And sadly, my culinary skills will never be up to scratch :D

You made me giggle at a memory when you posted this PF! For a while my old employer rented 3 rooms in a local hotel as they lacked training space in the office and a lunch was included. Basically these folks served the same (very delicious but very rich sarnies) each day, so by day 3 people were leaving more and more. I was off sick at the time with my silly hormonal carp, my mum however was a training officer in my place of work. Rather then waste the food she use to arrive on my doorstep with polypockets stuffed with left over sarnies each evening :rotfl: My personal favourites were the roast beef with horseradish mayonaise

Talking of food, just got back from a rather lovely meal in a local italian, and I even partook in the profiteroles with hazelnut icecream and a Baileys coffee :o (oh and half a bottle of wine!) I was good though and walked to the restaurant and back.

Here is a sign of old age though .. wore my comfy shoes as I was walking! I remember the days of clubbing in practically no clothes in middle of winter in huge high heels, I think I would die now! :rotfl:

From what I heard, they had left the shelf edge label at £14 a bottle, but the bottles scanned at full price of £28 .. you could then claim the double the difference thing back from Mr T. so got £28 back! Free champagne anyone ;)

I love a bit of champs so that would have fit the bill. Damn. A good enough reason to keep more of an eye on this website.
