Always take my own stuff, but I don't take the pi%% I don't take in beer or fish and chips, but just the usual M&M's and a soft drink. There is a sign up as well saying only food/drink bought on the premises can be consumed on the premises.

Not been stopped yet, but if I was I'd just walk out without paying.

As previously said. Tv's are that good now, and a decent size with great sound the experience of the Cinema doesn't have the same impact as it once did.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I always nip into Woolies for some pic'n mix and drinks beforehand - £3.50 for Popcorn at our Apollo - not too mention the tickets at £5.20 for kids!!!! I get in for less as I have an NUS card:D

Trick is to use a big handbag rather than waltz in with a carrier - in that article it stated that Cineworld search customers which is totally illegal!!! Only the police have the power to stop and search! Let anyone try and go through my handbag and they'd be feeling round the back of their head!!!!

Just put it in your bag - bring a backpack if necessary. They can't object if they don't know. :)

we do the food in a back pack thing too.

Whilst i love the popcorn and coke thing, why is it my popcorn is all chewy, i always get the stale ones.

Took DS to see Hancock 2 tickets cost us £12 the 2 lots of popcorn and 2 lots of medium drink was another £12, and expensive hour and half
Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?

there are a few websites about now that you can watch the latest films that are still in the cinema you just have to watch it on a laptop or computer or get one of them special leads that plugs into your tv and into your laptop to watch them instead. You can have as much snaffles as you want in the comfort of your own home. very mse :)

They should carry out the ban and price their food and drink so high that nobody buys it.

That way I can watch a film in peace without people eating stinking hot dogs or nachos, rustling sweet papers and slurping on pop.

    *runs to hide* :D
Here I go again on my own....

To be honest, even before cinemas started to ban people from bringing in their own food/drinks,I always discreetly bought things in as I was never really sure whether I was allowed to or not?Anyway,I'd still bring things in,just get cleverer at hiding them.Is a security guard really going to take a long time rummaging through your handbag?Hide things at the bottom for instance, hide things in make-up,tolietry bags, hell, shove things down your trousers if needs be:rotfl: Don't let them win!
  • i went to the pics with my partner and eldest who is 3, he was so excited and really wanted popcorn etc.
i thought, ok then, whats the harm in a little treat. now my husband in paralised after a accident so he was in his chair, money is non existant since his accident as we ended up loosing everything and went bankrupt, but thats another story.

anyhow, i went too uci at the trafford centre, and brough my bank card which i had £30 for rent £ 40 for shopping and about £10 spare
we ordered 2 popcorn 2 drinks, i hot dog, and 2 packs of seets and it came too £18.00 i was devestated thats more than i ever spend apart from shopping.

and too top it of they had no disabled access to the top rows so we had too sit right at the front and it was crap, what are they spending here money on!!

    what a joke!!
    thought i would join in-
    halifax £4.55
    savings £00.72
    purse £78.23

To avoid confrontation, I always take Dora the Explorers advice, and use my backpack :P
