Taking own food / drinks into cinema

I know this is an old thread, but I thought this may be of interest:
From: http://www.myvue.com/legal/
So it seems Vue actually only exclude hot food from being brought into the cinema
Do you think they'd be OK if you brought in a BBQ ?:D Sounds like I'm fine with the carrier bag of drinks, crisps & popcorn0 -
I actually prefer the taste of Butterkist popcorn (the one in the silver bag/box) to the sweet popcorn sold at the cinema and of course it hasn't been sitting in the open air for goodness knows how long so I take in my own plus a bottle of diet coke which I know won't be flat. I sometimes buy a mini tub of ice cream at the cinema though. There is also an art house cinema I go to which sells lovely sea salt and balsamic vinegar homemade popcorn at a reasonable price so I tend to buy all my refreshments from their shop because they have some really lovely drinks too and don't overcharge. But that is the exception to the rule.0

Mind you, I will take our own drink in, but will buy their popcorn. You just can't beat cinema's popcorn, ummmm, hungry now :P
