i go to the cinema about once a week, i take all sorts of things in its great - mcdonalds, fish and chips, pasta salads, pasta, seafood cocktails, popcorn, sweets, drinks. I've never been searched.
A bottle of ketchup fits perfectly in the cup holders!!!0 -
Hi there,
I've been reading many of the threads here with interest. I've actually set up a website to see how ridiculous it is now to go and look at what can be done. It includes
- Cinema comparisions from today and 20yrs ago along with concerns about its future because of other movie formats and costs
- An ambitious proposal for a new cinema to reduce prices across the board taking into account today tech savvy customers and making the experience much better and more accessible.
The main reason I've put it together is to get as much interest and exposure along with collating lots of information through comments and online polls. My ultimate aim would be to get one picturehouse off the ground based on affordable moviegoing for all. I hope that you might get the time to just peruse over it and see what you think.

If you love your movies and are fed up paying £3+ for drink and sweets then head on over see what you think and pass the message on. Hope you like it!!
Happy browsing!
kind regards

Resurrecting old threads to post a link to your own website isn't really in keeping with the ethos of this site - I suggest you read the rules first.:pMember of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Balance 1st November '09 = mortgage paid off with £1903 left over. Title deeds are now ours.0 -
I normally take a bottle of juice/water in and either a bag of grapes if I am feeling healthy  or get those 3 for 99p bags of sweets form Asda!! Just take it in my handbag.
I've got a cineworld unlimited pass which is great but its annoying you can't prebook.....why should it be different to anyone else. It must be fairly simple to give a code from your card or something to book in advance.
I'm off down to the cinema after work to book tickets for me and my boyfriend for later tonight!! Both pass holders..... :mad:0 -
is there realy any need to take food into the cinema ? we dont take food in with our children anymore, and they have given up asking, we always go to pizza hut for supper afterwards and that is a treat in itself for them.
you can guarantee we always get stuck behond that same child with a box/bag of sweets far too big for them to eat alone, that gets dropped all over the floor !0 -
I took 2 cans of Asda own brand red bull equivalent in on Wednesday night as I thought I might be in danger of falling asleep - other half was warned.0

I'm ashamed to say it was Mamma Mia - Vue at StainesNot many other men there. It was the Sing Along Version !
Got me plenty of Brownie Points cos the last film I took her to see was Outlaw http://www.outlawthemovie.com/ a top film as far as I'm concerned but she hated it
Anyway I think you will enjoy Mamma Mia0 -
I know this is an old thread, but I thought this may be of interest:
From: http://www.myvue.com/legal/10. Hot food brought from outside of the cinema may not be consumed on the premises.
So it seems Vue actually only exclude hot food from being brought into the cinema0
