Bank Charges Financial Hardship Disussion

When you apply under the financial hardship rules is there a time limit for when a decision must be made by the bank?
Basically my Father requested his charges back under financial hardship back in the second week of March, received the I and E form and returned it- all done by the end of the month. Now they seem to keep fobbing him off with things such as they are awaiting the paperwork from their branch in Scotland etc.
8 weeks before you can go to the Financial Ombudsman Service.0 -

Hi I started the claim process a couple of years ago, since then my situation has changed dramatically, 1 wage coming in (mine) 3 adults to feed - 2 sons, 1 just leaving University and looking for work and another recently made redundant and looking for work. I am on a DMP through the CCCS who are forwarding me a letter of hadrship to send to the bank - LLoyds TSB - unfortuantely!
My question is if I am refunded the charges claimed can I request it is sent to me in the forma ofa cheque or will they automatically pay into my old account that I no longer use? I am paying off an overdraft debt with Lloyds TSB and would rather the money come to me than go into the bank never to be seen again!0 -

It should go towards repaying priority debt arrears firstly. Are they part of the DMP?0 -

The Overdraft charges are part of the DMP but I have higher priority debts such as Council tax arrears which is why I questioned, if I receive the charges back can I request it be sent in the form of a cheque or will they pay it into the account?0 -

Well, would you believe it, my Father had a phone call today basically saying he should expect an offer letter sometime next week!
Though going by some of the posts on here Ive told him not to get his hopes up just yet!
I will update this when I find out his offer- just helps to see how much people are being offered in comparison to their claim and also from which Bank.0 -
