Bank Charges Financial Hardship Disussion

Can someone please give me a working number for the customer feedback of the cooperative bank? Every letter I receive from them has a different direct number of which none of them work. They also seem to use different addresses and it is highly frustrating.
Specifically to Mr X-Mr Natwest guy,
Just to fill you in on what has happened since we last spoke. The bank said they could not do anything as the FOS case was closed. So I contacted the FOS and they are re-opening the case. Even though I do have priority debts, the bank has done nothing except send standard replies saying they will deal with the case once the outcome of the ongoing court case is known. They have never specifically acknowledged my case for financial difficulty or made any effort to address this issue or enquire to the details of my financial difficulty. The FOS is now contacting the Coop to ask the bank to send me an income and expenditure assessment form, and the FOS is also sending me an assessment form.
The most frustrating thing is the way the bank just sends out standard letters, without any acknowldgement of your specific details. They seem to safely justify this because they know that they are basically abliged do nothing by their hardline interpetation of the annex to the waiver. They say the banking code says they have to be 'sympathetic'. This is such a general 'hairy fairy' term. Not having the decency to even ensure that their numbers are correct on corrispondance or not even replying to your questions in letters is not sympathetic, in my book. I am now residing to the fact, I just will sit it out until the case is over whenever that might be.
Keep up the good work.
Jon

What was it that you got so angry about with the MSE news article about the delay of the court findings?0 -
I wrote to Halifax saying that I was in Financial Hardship Halifax sent me a letter saying that they would agree to give me £472. I waited for three weeks for the cheuque to come it didnt so I rang them up and was told that it had been put into my Halifax Account which I cant draw the money out.I am paying the Halifax a certain amount of money to pay off debts on that account which we have been paying for over two years. I was wondering if anybody knows if I can appeal to them about this. I claimed this money back because I am In Financial Hardship and this money would help to pay off some of my bills. In fact it has not helped at all. Thanks for your help.0

I'm at my wits end. My husband has had to give up work due to severe depression and so we are trying to cope with just my wages. He owes Lloyds £1800 and every day they ring requesting payment. Each month they charge him £185 in fees which they refuse to put on hold. We have explained that he has no income whatsoever and we are struggling to cope with just my money but they will not meet us half way. We have offered £50 a month as that is all I can afford but now they are threatening court action.
This is making him very ill and I am worried he will end up back in hospital.
Why are these people so unreasonable.0 -
