Cat just another quick question if you don't mind?
When I connect the laptop to the router with the lead what will the laptop automatically run through that instead of the wireless connection? Also there are 4 ports in the back of the router, do you have any idea which one I should use please?
ThanksSometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0 -
I think I've done something wrong.....
Yesterday when I was trying to install it all I got a page come up with the things on that you mentioned from the CD-rom and I entered a password etc and saved it (I can remember what password I used but not the number)
Anyway when I've just done what you told me to do the page came up and I entered admin twice and it said page unauthorised - I think this is something to do with what I did yesterday????? Anyway I've gone back to the CD-rom and done it all again and disconnected it afterwards, rebooted and it's not asking me for any passcode.
Basically what I'm trying to say is how do you know when you've done it right? And does it sound like I've done it right (I'm thinking not!)Sometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0 -

It says currently connected to NETGEAR, Access local and internet
Does that sound right? It doesn't say secure or unsecure!!Sometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0 -
you may want to use wpa security rather than wep ... it should be an option on the pages that you have been shown.
Please change your admin password to anything other than admin or someone sitting in a car with wi-fi device will be able to login to your network and use your internet connection for free.
This wi-fi is not as easy as they make it sound. Please change the defaults and the passwords they give you.0
