dont think even my own mother knew it was me:think:
ha ha - I sussed it after your comment to twink - only you would be so mean to your poor befuddled mother ...... well it had to be you or Aussielass anyway.
congrats VickyA - must be a huuuuge relief.
got a call from 6 music researcher this morning so I will be on the radio on wed morning sl*gging off my home town. When she phoned I said I would call her back as I was due in court - oops only realised afterwards that she might think I was a defendant.
Mr caringsharing is over for the night as he has dropped off dd(11)'s new ds game to her. He's just asked me if I never sit down. Well the thought of pulling out the cooker to clean behind it is somehow more attractive than sitting with him in his scundies, feet up on the cofee table, whatching sh!te on telly and talking about the interesting things that happen in the riveting world of IT. Was it only yesterday that I was saying how unmotivated I was feeling - perhaps he should come over more often - shudder
hugs hugs hugs to smokey - I so hope you're feeling better today hon
also for jayward nd anyone else ill or sad or both
hugs too to squiggly's new little ones

so you will need to forgive me while I get up to speed.x x x0 -
Evening all,
Pooky - Congrats for your DH! :j _party_. What a relief
Jayward - Sorry you are feelng sad about your job, but that chap is right, you need to focus on getting better ASAP!!!
Squiggly - Yaaaaaaaaay cats!!!!! Me and my ex got our cats from an animal shelter (we did not want kittens as we both work full time and would not have been able to give them the attention they deserved)
Vicky - Well done on the Ofsted visit!
Twink - Thankyou for asking about my Gran, she has come home today as the doctors cold not find anything specific wrong with her. I am super relieved (one of the worst experiences of my life is seeing her in ICU and I never want to have to do it again)
On the OS front, I have done a load of washing, pegged it out and cleaned the kitchen. Just been checking out R.Macs brilliant meal organising thread and sorting my dinners into groups. I hope this will make my life a lot easier - atm, by the time I've faffed around with a weeks meal plan, plus negotiating all the special offers, the weeks over!We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
My kids have been on play scheme today, and one of the activites they did was to make and bake a pizza each, which they brought home.
We make pizza every friday, so they're old hands at this, but I was glad as it provided dinner......
the best bit? They also made potato people...you know... googly eyes and cocktail sticks with bits of carrot etc stuck on a raw potato for proper mr potato heads.
Well, in order to stretch the pizza to them and 2 friends, the potato people were photogarphed, pulled apart, scrubbed and cut into wedges then baked in the oven....
No waste, great taste and a bargain dinner!!
Has anyone else cooked their kids crafting activities, or am I just a bad mother?:rolleyes:0 -
Redruby, no you weren't the only one who didn't know who Princess was.... so thank you for figuring it out for me!!!!!!
Congratulations Mr Pooky too
KaatLady, thank you so much for that info & the links, I'll have a proper look in the morning when I'm a bit more with it...
Welcome back Dogrose too.
Lola is back on top of the kitchen cupboards again.... Nino has suddenly got brave & is demanding cuddles & attentionNeither of them have used litter trays yet (they've been here since 4pm) but nor have they eaten or drunk a huge amount yet either. Oops, Lola must be off the kitchen cupboard as I think she is now hanging off the kitchen door handle from the inside as it is moving!!!!! I think I may have a houdini cat there....

Evening all.
And princess pixiedust, I hadn't got a clue like stefe until I read your comment to twink, when the penny dropped:rotfl: I was beginning to think I'd missed some big announcement:rolleyes: It certainly is a girly name:D
Well done Mr Pooky:T :T
((jayward)), ((smoky)) and any other poorlies.
Has anyone heard from anniestar lately? Hope her kitties are OK. Yours look lovely Squiggly:DHope yours is better pink 1970.
Well I've had quite a productive day:D I've made a huge batch of chili that now needs to be squeezed into the freezer. I also made a fruit cobbler ( raspberry and apple, yummy) and a batch of anzacs. Got two washloads washed and line dried, just need to iron it now. I organised all our DVDs so now you can actually find the one you want, and cleared out a load to the charity shop. I suppose I should investigate ebay, but to be honest I'm too lazy for all that fiddling around, and the hospice shop are very pleased to take my junk:o I weeded the front garden, and did some pruning. And that was extra to normal tidying and cleaning. You know, kitchen, bathroom etc.
No wonder I'm knackered tonight:rotfl:
Think I've earned a glass (or two!) of dry white wine spritzer;)You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
Baby steps for me today being my first real OS day. I did some things in the flylady thread, re heated veg curry leftovers from a large one cooked over the weekend and part cooked a fish pie from leftovers in the freezer for tomorrow (including shark steak that was on offer in Costco months ago which was frozen and I didn't have the guts to do anything else with it lol)
Also watered all the veg we're currently (trying to) grow.
We just got back from holiday so rather than do a big shop like I normally would, I listed everything in the freezer and cupboards and did meal pans for the next 12 days. Only means buying the odd veg or milk product until payday. In fact, we can probably go past that which is handy as we have a wedding to save for (MS as i'm trying to make it, it's still coming in at around £15k right now  )
SK xAfter 4 years of heartache, 3 rounds of IVF and 1 loss :A - we are finally expecting our miracle Ki11en - May 2014 :j
And a VERY surprise miracle in March 2017!0 -
All you cat experts on here:My mate adopted a gorg female kitten a few months ago, n she's now about 8 months, and is forever bringing birds in, sometimes twice her size as she is diddy.
Will she grow out of it?It is horrid:( Is it usually a tom cat thing?"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"
