Morning, all! A rather sunny day here, and I'm happily bouncing around from last night's trip to some friends. They gave me some rhubarb that's been growing in their garden, and I'm going to make a crumble tonight for tea.
N9neav - Most of my Sundays as a child were spent on the local steam railway and I now live within about a mile or two from that same one. Dad has always had a thing for trains, so hearing your tales of yesterday made me smile.
I have a day off today (joy!) and I'm going to use it in town and in the garden, I think, getting my bed ready for next year. I think a trip into town is on the cards, and then just bimbling around home for odds and ends. Tea will be meatballs with tomato sauce and pasta, with the lovely almost-free crumble for pud!
Have a good day all, and (((Hugs))) to all those in need.Claero

Morning all, I am surrounded by wedding invites which I need to get done today, how do I tell OH's elderly relatives that instead of a reception we're having a camping party??
I can only invite 26 people to the ceremony, I'm overinviting and hoping some people can't make it, may backfire on me!!
Rhysdad, yes I think you may have needed to let the dough rise more or maybe cook it for longer/different temperature? I'm, not an expert but I'm sure one will be along shortly!
N9eav, very glad ducky came back, OH used to have them as a kid and really wants some now, if you have ducklings can we have one please?
Hope everyone is successful in their missions for the day.June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

morning all
not too bad here today sun shining but still very breezy.
bit of hectic weekend, as i said friday my sister + bil came of over with 4month old George and my parents so that was nice.
had to rush 3 yr old cat to vets has he hadnt been able to pee for 2 days i thought he'd done it elsewhere until i followed him to his tray and watched, poor thing was in pain, so OH walked to the vets with him, handle fell of plastic cat box so poor thing ended up in the floor a few yards down the street. Got to vets and found he had a blockage and was very very ill....we got phone call yesterday to fetch him home and a bill for £194  which was a bit of a shock...got him home and he's in a right mess he absolutly stinks of urine, they said they had cleaned him up but i'm not so sure...he's now on a special diet which unfortunately seems to have upset his stomach and the mess he's was this morning was awful, he's still dirty but was getting fed up of me trying to wash his bum. Have to take him back to vets tonight so i shall be complaining to them later.
Thanks to all who have sent good luck/hugs etc for our current situation. Off to do a job search.
:grouphug: to all in need. i cant remember all names as my heads swimming at the mo.
welcome to all newbies i have missed :wave:PinkPunkBird

Excellent idea!!!!! I shall go & get making now....
Pink - your poor cat sounds like he's really going through it - definitely have a word with the vet - for that amount of money you expect improvements, not him getting worse.
Rhysdad, I don't know either I'm afraidI'm sure one of the experts will be along shortly....
