Bleeding in pregnancy

Thanks for keeping us up to date Dippychick. I just don't know the answers to your questions, I'm sorry. Maybe the scan will help but it seems a long time to go without answers. Could your doctor give advice? Or could you ring the hospital and ask what the results mean? Lots of people must get questions they don't ask at the time.

They can't tell me anymore - I will know next week. If it hasn't grown there's nothing there. I am consoling myself thinking that if it's a miscarriage, I can always try again and that's keeping me from being upset at the moment.:cool:0 -

I am expecting the worst but would like to know of anyone else who has experienced this. I don't know, perhaps I do want to know it wil be OK. I've had a little cry. It's upsetting either way, especially bleeding without explanation.
She saw a cyst on my ovary and said its not necessarily a bad thing so as soon as i know whats happening with this pregnancy I am going to get a smear done.
I just came across this thread and am here shaking as I read through the whole thread....
I have had at least 2 miscarriages and my second one was like this - I was accordign todates 10 weeks pregnant - was referred for early scan due to a miscarriage at 14 weeks earlier. So went for scan and they said there was no heartbeat and that the baby had stopped growing at 9 weeks.
I hadn't lost any blood until this point (heavy blood loss was when I miscarried my 1st)
I had to return a week later for further assessment.
As you can imagine the week felt like a year.
I don't know anymore than this as in my case I had a managed miscarriage.....
All I can say is that you will be in my prayers. Please take it really easy....
Rest and make sure that you have all the help you need on hand. Try not to worry about anything - easier said I know.
I'll be watching for an update.....
Lots of love0 -

Saw scan and saw 'sac' and 'yolk'. No heartbeat and am showing at 6 weeks pregnant.
Either baby has stopped growing at that stage or my period dates are wrong.
Scan in 9 days.
They said they can't condemn a pregnancy until it is 3mm so have to wait for scan.
No explanation for bleeding.
My question is:
If it is a miscarriage, why would the sac and all that be intact for 4/5 weeks. Or is that what happens?
Sometimes the sack stays intact even when you miscarry, but does not develop. But it is promising that the sack is still in tack, you cold have you dates wrong, especially with so much bleeding and the sack is till in tack, everything is crossed for you hun.0 -
I think it is a miscarriage too.
I can't possibly be only 6 weeks pregnant. No way.:cool:0 -
morning dippychick,
i have only seen this thread this morning.
just wanted to give you big huggs.
i can't offer anything more than what has been given to you, but just wanted to say i was thinking of you.
all the best0 -
I also had an empty intact sac, at around 12 weeks. I'm afraid to say they classed that as a miscarriage, and I had to have a D&C. ((hugs)) They said it had stopped growing weeks before but had just stayed there until I began to bleed.0

((HUGS)) to you.
I know you don't want false hope, but when I was pregnant with DS, I went for my 16 week scan and the radiographer said she had to go and get someone? As you can imagine my heart sank. She came back with a senior and the asked me how pregnant I thought I was. I said 16 weeks and they said no you are not. I am saying, yes I am, I am, my doctor told me and they said no you are only 5 weeks 4 days
I took my pregnancy test really early and I went to a family planning clinic, they said it was only very slightly grainy? (the test) but as it had changed I was pregnant. My doctor gave me 15th or 16th of August for EDD and I gave birth on 1st October!
So I was pregnant before I was IYSWIM, by over 10 weeks, I am not trying to build your hopes up, but stranger things have happened.
Good luck next week, but do try to rest. Either way your body needs rest.
