Bleeding in pregnancy

How far gone are you?
I bled LOADS throughout my first pregnancy. At one point, I lost so much blood I went into shock. I also had huge fist sized clots coming out (TMI sorry). I went on to have a perfectly healthly baby though and they never found the reason for the bleeding. So, bleeding in pregnancy doesn't always mean miscarriageWhat the Deuce?0 -
Dippychick, please go to the hospital. I have had two early miscarriages, neither particularly painful, but both involving VERY heavy blood loss when they got going.
You really need to get yourself there - I was very glad that I was in by the time I finally "lost" each time.
If I was one of your friends and I found out that you had not called me - then I would be really cross with you. That's what friends are for! For your own sake, and that of your unborn get your bum down to that hospital and let them take care of you.
And please let us know how it all goes:)
Good luck and hugs - now GET GOING!"there are some persons in this World who, unable to give better proof of being wise, take a strange delight in showing what they think they have sagaciously read in mankind by uncharitable suspicions of them"(Herman Melville)0 -
That happened to me pink butterfly, I bled for about 12 weeks passing lumps of liver. I had a dd with a chromosome disorder so put it down to, maybe a warning sign. She's ten now.0

In her second pregnancy, my Missus had very sudden and heavy bleeding at about 16 weeks. We were walking about on holiday, had to get to a local doctor immediately, who then said we had to get to the nearest hospital about 50 miles away. I won't speak for her, but based on what the local GP said, I expected a miscarriage. Got to the hospital, a scan showed a heartbeat, and she rested there for about a week. Baby born about 5 months later, and 11 years after that he's been very chatty to me today.
Similar problem with the third pregnancy. Sudden very heavy bleeding, in the middle of the night, and off to hospital in the morning to find there was a heartbeat. The pregnancy continued with my wife spotting (or more ) pretty much continually until the birth. He's been quite laid back today, and both of them have no problems despite the Missus's troublesome preganancies.
So take it easy, put your feet up, and put yourself into the hands of the medics. It's a good excuse to take life easier! Hope every thing works out well.I can spell - but I can't type0 -

That's what I was passing before - and that is exactly what I said to my husband! I am passing clots like Liver
I have spoken to my friend who will run me up to the hospital should I need to and I have had a bath. I am not in any pain and am just going to check my pad in half an hour or so and stay up a little later than normal.
Thanks for all your words
Hanging around in A&E is just so hard when you're feeling so ill - I was in a room with a massive window in the roof and it was aggravating my eyes today, so I asked for Paracetamol.:cool:0 -

Get yourself down to the Gynae/Maternity unit, and not A&E.
At least on gynae you will be seen by an obstetrician and midwives and not by a general doctor. They will know how to treat you best.
Good luck.0 -
Better safe than sorry. You won't sleep much tonight anyway so why not go and get yourself seen!
Best wishes xx~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)
