Hi DC - just checking that your husband is now back? Are you going to go into hospital - it sounds heavier than a period?

Not trying to sound negative here, but you probably need it to be checked what is happening as you can't just leave it passing blood like this. It can be dangerous. I know it's horrible and a pain and probably the last place that you feel like being right now, but at least call them for some advice if you're not actually going in.

Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."

Yes I did ring up. She told me that unless I am literally flooding the place, there is no need. Or if I can't handle the blood. Not sure whether she mean physically or emotionally though.

She asked me what painkillers I have in - I said Ibuprofen - she said normally they would tell me not to take them in early pregnancy but seeing as it looks like I am miscarrying it is fine.

I haven't wanted to do much today but I feel like I know now and at least I can move on instead of not knowing. I hate the bleeding and don't like seeing what I am passing but I have passed worse after giving birth.

It just wasn't meant to be and am only glad it happened sooner rather than later.

Glass of Wine tonight and a cuddle I think, after we've made Rhubarb crumble :)

My husbands home, been lovely and has just had to take a call but he is supportive and knows that i like to be distracted when upset.

I'm so upset for you I dont know what to say. I lost a baby at 12 weeks a few years ago and I had to go in and have things sorted as I was losing so much blood (it was even in my shoes - so maybe that's what they mean by too much ?) I just don't get how they can leave you like this, but I suppose there is nothing they can really do either way.

If you do have a glass of wine tonight - then I'll be joining you if it's any comfort.

    Dippychick,

I'm a midwife and mum of 4 (sadly lost 3 -early miscarriages and 1 baby died after 3 days from being born @ 25 weeks) if you'd like a chat.

Sadly pregnancy isn't an exact science as has probably been proven by the comments on this thread, but I'd like to think I have a friendly ear in a time of need.

Anyone else who needs a chat most welcome.....either by msg or on forum.

Hope you're feeling well Dippy, you'll be in my thoughts.

    Nicci
