Smokester, I found the address for RBS that I used:

I have what is probably (and hopefully) a basic question that I'm struggling to get clear on despite lots of reading on this site and CAG.
I have some default accounts on my credit file, and my mortgage broker tells me I can't get a mortgage if any of them are 4 years old or less.
So in regards to that, what date matters, the default date, the satisfied date (they are all satisfied), or the updated date - all 3 are different.
If someone can answer that it would be a huge help. Thanks!

The default date certainly. And [perhaps the satisfaction date depending on what criteria the mortgage company set. Last updated shouldn't in theory matter.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

I've been going thru my experian report in order to clear my file. I was declared bankrupt on 01/04/2010 (yes, April fools day) and discharged on 22/09/2010.
My file is now clean except for the following 3
Can anyone confirm that I need to get these altered?
Also, the addresses I have are; Lloyd's - Gresham Street London, Mint - St Andrew Square Edinburgh and Egg - Citigroup Centre, Canada Square London
Thanks0 -
1st) Should be listed with a default as per your BR date, and be marked as settled/partial settlement with no outstanding balance remaining.
2nd) Default is a month late. Not a big issue, but can be corrected. Again, should say settled/partial settlement with zero current balance.
3rd) Ok, apart from again should say settled/partial settlement with no current balance.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Thanks Fermi, I assumed that since they all are still showing an outstanding balance, and the status's are all beginning with a 'D' that are still showing as not being cleared. Not sure, which part is the most important, ie, is zero balance more important than the default date, or does it just have to say satisfied?
Also, will these just drop off my file after 6 years eg 01/04/2016 anyway?
Just want to get this sorted so I can hopefully get a credit building credit card of some sort. I expect these 3 files will stop me getting any kind of credit at the moment.0 -
- If a default date is given, then they fall off 6 years from the default date. No matter what the balance says.
- If no default date, then it is 6 years from the settlement date.
- If neither, then the record stays on your report indefinitely.
So the most vital thing is the default date, as when that is correct that would get the entries off your report at the soonest point.
Outstanding/unsettled balances on a defaulted account should also really be sorted, but not as hyper-crucial as the default and date of that being correct.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Thanks for all your advice MrTurner. That address looks like just the jobby.
I had read about the Telford address but the person who mentioned it then couldn't remember it exactly. I'll print another letter tonight and get it off first thing.0 -
For Natwest, you're not getting them signed for because that is a PO Box....
It may be worth pointing out that I also sent a recorded delivery letter to the Bishopsgate address suggested in the original bankruptcy page here, and as yet, that hasn't been signed for either and I sent it over a week ago.
Perhaps they know what to reject.0 -

This was signed for this morning, so hopefully this will result in them removing the entry from my credit record. Saying that, they'll probably refuse to accept the letter from my receiver as proof of discharge, so I may well be back..
Thanks again for the address.0
