If you leave the balances on there I'm not sure they would fall off after 6 years as there would still be an o/s balance, but I could be wrong about that.

Hi All,
I've just received my Experian credit report (still waiting for Equifax and need to send off for callcredit) and only 1 of my creditors has applied the correct info and date on the report, the rest have either shown as settled but wrong default date or wrong default date and outstanding balance.
Only Capital One got it all correct, Natwest have done my loan and bank account but credit card incorrect.
Just gathering the address details for the letters but i'm a bit confused about who to contact on a few after looking on the ico website, they are:
Natwest credit card (is it same as natwest bank?)
RBS credit card (same as RBS bank?)
Barclaycard credit card (seems to suggest CLYDESDALE FINANCIAL SERVICES LIMITED)
Barclays masterloan ?
I'm sure there were more creditors but can't put my hand on my BR paperwork at the moment.
Can i just print off a copy of the insolvency report showing BR date and date of automatic discharge to send as my evidence of both BR date and discharge?
TIALife is like a game of Snakes & Ladders, i almost made it to the top but now i'm at the bottom again and its a very long ladder to the top. I had it all and now its gone
Well my 6 years are now up, now to start to rebuild my life again

It would be much better if you had them, and could save problems.
Maybe your ex OR has them? They would have had to contact creditors with account details and the details of the BR?Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

First thing you need to check is that there is no adverse information on your credit file that you can't see. If you are looking at the online credit report from Experian (i.e. Credit Expert) then the information might be there but you won't see it. So your first step is to make sure that your current and all your previous addresses are there (and written correctly). That can take 24 hours to update. If that doesn't work, give Experian a call and ask them to check for missing information.
If it's not the above the most likely reason would be credit scoring. Each lender uses different criteria to establish whether to offer a product. Previous credit history, relationship status, job, salary, existing commitments etc all come into play. There's no such thing as a universal credit score (so don't pay extra for Experian's credit score as it means nothing in the real world).
Usually it's best to apply for products with the bank you already bank with as you'll have some history with them. Multiple applications with several creditors in a short period will have an adverse effect on your ability to get credit. Generally speaking any more than two applications in six months is considered negative. Currently, more loan applications are being declined.0 -

What happens if my creditors haven't signed for their letters?
I have 4 that haven't been signed for, they defo went to the right addresss.
I need their proof of delivery to esclate my complain to the FSO, but it seems they have a legitimate cop out if all they have to do is not sign for their lettersAccept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

If no one signed for them, where are the letters now? Royal Mail need a signature or they have to return them to you.
I think you will be able to escalate your complaint if you are not receiving a response. I'm sure the receipt for sending them would be good enough if the creditor won't sign for them. Failing that, send a letter with proof of posting which does not require a signature. Or send a fax.0
