i have this problem , discharged in 2010 and all files are fine apart from lloyds on my call credit file is showing settlement in 2012.
i no longer have any paperwork from my bankruptcy so i only have the last four numbers of the account showing on the credit report for reference.
how can i get hold of this account number .
any ideas??
Ask your former OR?
In the end, as long as you can provide Lloyds with a copy of the credit file entry and your name, address at the time you held the account, and your date of birth, they will have sufficient information to identify the account and record and correct it. If they claim it is not enough, then they are trying to fob you off and you should make a formal complaint.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Well, the clean up is progressing here. Dh had cap1, HSBC loan, od & c/c, all now changed to satisfied, defaults corrected except c/c is about 5wks out but not too fussed til we get closer to them being due to fall off (3/3/15). My HSBC od and Argos card fixed with no fuss. However, aqua are messing me around, demanding more id. How long do I give it before threatening fos/ico again?Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Hi
Declared bankrupt Mar 2010, discharged a yr later. I am in the process of cleaning my CRF. I just wondered has anyone's credit score gone up as a result of the clean up?0 -
Are there any law firms who for a fee (obviously!) will do all the leg work for you in terms of contact DCA's etc to change 'moved default dates' etc and write the necessary letters to the ICO/FOS etc in order to correct the information on your credit file?
I'm guessing a letter from a solicitors to a DCA will carry more weight than one from a former debtor?0 -
Can someone kindly provide the correct address data controller address for Cahoot/Santander, as these are the only 2 companies who are making a mess of my credit file, by changing my default date from 2006 to 2008, and even though my bankruptcy was in Jan 2008, both these accounts are still showing as in a default state.
Some advice and the correct address, would be greatly appreciated.0 -
Try to find it later, but send an email with the cleanup letter to ceo@santander.co.uk

Well its 6 years and 2 months since I went BR and after putting it off for ages (too long) I've checked my credit reference files with all 3 companies and all is pretty good with most of my old creditors dropped off my reports apart from Natwest that had a default date for end of May 2008 but they will clear by the end of the month so not bothered by that but 1 company Lloyds have screwed me over, they were a pain in the rear when I went BR, they would call 3-4 times a day demanding money and in the end I had to report them to my OR to get them off my back.
Well they have a default date 6 months after I went BR, so shows August 2008 instead of February 2008, which isn't too bad but on my Experian report they have re-activated my account and debt 3 years later in September 2011 and reported it as defaulted for 13 months until showing as finally settled in October 2012, so in theory shafting my credit status till November 2018
on my Equifax report they show as defaulted in August 2008 and then no entries until September 2012 where they declared it as settled
on my callcredit (noodle) report they have been reporting the full balance of my debt from May 2008 until September 2012 where they finally show as settled but in the status history they show defaulted in August 2008 then no entries till September 2011 where they report it as defaulted again all the way to September 2012 when finally marked as satisfied.
What the hell are they up to re-activating an account that should be closed?
I've raised the issue with all three credit reference agencies but I guess i'm going to have to chase Lloyds too to try and get this resolved.
Am I right in saying that the default date should be recorded as the date I went bankrupt and that my creditors should have marked my accounts as defaulted and then settled/satisfied and shouldn't be still reporting on it 4 1/2 years later?Life is like a game of Snakes & Ladders, i almost made it to the top but now i'm at the bottom again and its a very long ladder to the top. I had it all and now its gone
Well my 6 years are now up, now to start to rebuild my life again

I'm reposting this from another thread I posted but after a week no replies/comments, i'm hoping someone can help on this thread.
Thanks
As you will see from previous posts I have just done my credit file checks, my wife has also done them but we have found an anomaly with hers, mine are as already discussed.
Now she went BR a couple of months after me in April 2008 and we got married 2 years later, so we expected to still see most of her creditors on her report but ready to drop off in the next month or two but her Experian report gave her 999/999 and Callcredit 4/5, then on looking through the reports it doesn't show any of her defaulted accounts in her maiden name, they only showed her married name so all good clean reports, however we are in a quandary as to what to do, on the application forms none asked for maiden names so we haven't done anything wrong but after contacting Experian about it we can get her maiden name linked to her married name as an alias but
A, we can't understand why its not already linked as she updated all her current bank accounts, utilities, passport, voters forms, driving license etc etc when we got married, so you would expect the credit reference agencies to automatically link the two surnames, obviously we didn't update anything with the old defaulted companies as there was no requirement.
B, in my reports it shows both her surnames in my financial linked area
So our quandary is do we apply to the reference agencies to link the two names and risk messing up her currently good credit status due to defaulted creditors not applying the correct default dates such as with Lloyds like I have had and cahoot as they were still sending out statements to her 2 years after her BR date and no amount of sending copies of her BR certificate would stop them, we only stopped receiving them as we moved house, or do we just keep quiet?? my only thought is if we apply for a mortgage this year do they ask for all known names such as maiden names, which could possibly open up a can of worms that we would then have to look at sorting if there are cockups under her maiden name on the defaulted accounts, I can't remember what they require as its 12 years since I last did a mortgage application.
We tried to do a credit report using her maiden name but couldn't get it as she had no form of payment in her old name to valid who she was, so we are at a brick wall at the moment.Life is like a game of Snakes & Ladders, i almost made it to the top but now i'm at the bottom again and its a very long ladder to the top.
