the one i got is £14.99 in argos at the mo (the bottom one), so a little more than I paid for mine but still a good deal if you use itooooor try freecycle
Ive seen a few up on our local one.
and i might have the motivation to do 30 mins of exercise in the morning BUT thats only because I know im rubbish at sticking to diets lol
jo - i detest machines that charge, i literally only use them if im in dire straights and have no choice e.g. when i went to the corner shop to top up the electric meter (cant b bothered to change it to a bill one as i wont be here too long lol) and they told me they didn't take card  so i had to lift money from their cash point and pay £1.75 for the privilege grrrr0 -
Hiya Everyone, PAY DAY for me today :j . Finished nights this morning and now not back till Tuesday night. Plenty time to catch up with you all :j. New start for me today, but had one hiccup this morning. Car was running on petrol fumes, so could not risk drive to free cash point, so had to go a local one, cost me £1.75  . But thats it. Today I start my Journey to " debt free, saving, less 4 stone Jo " It will be a challenge but I looking forward to it.
Thankyou all soooooo much for all you support and advice and look forward to more to come. :A :A :A

Pay day for me as well Jo :T very excited...
I have already transferred £250 into my brand new "spending" account so thats my spending for the month sorted (food, travel, entertainment the lot!!)
My bills have all been paid online and I've set up more payments to the dreaded credit card as well (£50 monthly lump sum then I'm doing the payment a day.. £2.50 a day)
Just found out today that my sister is being made redundant in her work because of the credit cruch  she is only 19!!
Kmac xx:heart2: Its 12 o'clock and I need your attention :heart2:Debt at Aug 2008 : Bank of Scotland CC : £1605 :mad:Overdraft : GONE!:j:staradmin Debt free aim: Sometime in 2009:staradmin0 -
Hi Everyone,
Well, ive not been on for a couple of days.
Ive been living the life of riley, buying rubbish food at high prices, not keeping track of my spends and the results are as follows
Still on scales every day - still fat
Eating rubbish makes my tummy bad (as guessed by Icka ive got IBS so thats how i can put on 3lb in one day)
Ive spent all my money - literally - ive got £40 left and have to pay £32 for a spa day tomorrow (a friends hen do)
Its going to cost me £6 on the train
We are supposed to be eating dinner
I have a phone bill of £44 still to be paid
Ive used all the petrol in the car
OH is being over nice and keeps offering to "sub me" its my mess -sod off and let me deal with it
Oh - and im still feeling really poorly and want to go home.
Well done lynne on the job interview and CC hope the CCS meeting went ok.
Icka -i know what you mean - i have food OCD that EVERYONE seems to notice and comment on - ie when i eat a plate of food i have to eat everything that is the same first (if its a roast takes me ages, especially if there are peas as i have to eat every pea before i can eat the veg that is next to the peas) also i work around the plate anti clockwise - im such a weirdo
blue i love the sense of achievement pay day gives you when you have waited and worked hard to get to it - 2 weeks today until payday and i know im living on my overdraft again this month - but as long as i keep going i will get there in the end.
bf - i love the aviator - im going to go search for a new one for me now.
Aside from all the rubbish stuff, im still here, although OH is a pain i love him
SCRATCH THAT
Just realised its our wedding anniversary on Thursday and i cant buy him anything0 -

anyway, I imagine you all know how it works.. pick the slim dresses, cant get one over your hips, squeeze the other over and realise it makes you look fatter not slimmer... and anyway you cant breathe so there's no point buying it... dress that fits has tiny boob pockets so spilling out of them.....turn sideways and you look like you're pregnant again..... anything that did make you look like you were human cost a bomb..... oooooh sorry rant over!! Just a little down about my weight this morning, but then I know it's my fault that's the silly thing.
Oh dear BF, you don't sound very happy, clothes shopping can be so depressing! I despize the changing room mirrors! But as you are trying to do something to change your size you should be proud of yourself and focus on the future when you'll be able to buy the exact style you want!
I've just replied to a freecycle ad for a trampoline so fingers crossed I get that! Thanks you for suggesting it lil miss!!!:j0 -
Oh puzzled, you're not a happy bunny either! I'm sure Jo will be along soon with some great advice on coping on only pennies!
Can you make something for your hubbie? I can't think what yet but I'll work on it, or maybe plan a really romantic evening in? My friend's boyf once did a treasure hunt for her round the house with little love notes.
I hate living in my overdraft too but we have to stay focussed and believe in ourselves that we can overcome it, I know we all can!!:T0 -
thanks CC - im trying to think of something to do - normally, in a situation like this i would make fudge or something - but no ingredients grrrrrr
Im focussing on being more positive but need to get the rant out of my system first if that makes sense.
How did it go with CCA?

On my computer this thread has suddenly got wiiiide... as in off my screen... v annoying. Is it happening to anyone else?
Anyway, I am very proud of myself I was money saving, dieting and lotions and potions friendly for lunch, I'm off to type it all up on my thread and then will copy it back herexx
Puzzled, your situation sounds very gloomy! But try and smile (it always helps - try it;) ) I second crazy, Jo has some sound advice and experience of surviving on very little... perhaps post a thread asking for advice on presents when you're skint??? What sort of things does your oh like/into - we might have some cheap ideas:)Personal challenge: Do without as much as possible to pay off £12k by 07/2009!!!:T

Copying this pretty much from my thread.. sorry for the length!!
Left work at 1 with the aim of going to Argos to get steppers, so DH could use them as well. On my way out, 'drop called' DH to get him to ring me back (as he has free mins, Im on payg.) He called me back and we were chatting, and he said that he wouldn't use the stepper because he's so heavy now that he thinks he would break it within a few days. (Weight limit on the stepper is 15.7 stone, he is 23.8! ) He also said they're very heavy to carry, so if I waited until tonight, we could drive to Argos and get some.
So, agreed with him that we would go to Argos later, so then wondered what I could do with my lunch break, as I was already out of the office and enjoying the sun. In my bag I have a 250points when you buy any No7 product from Boots... so off I trotted:o Ok, my reasoning was this... if I spend £3/5 I get something nice, + I can buy my lunch from the points!!
However... got there and of course, the cheapest thing in the No7 range is about £8:rolleyes: so I literally spent 20 mins wondering around the stand looking at the testers. The No7 lady came up to me, and put some grey eyeliner on me... tried some green eye shadow (yummy, I loved it). But there was this MSE concsience plagueing me... "You dont need it, You dont need it"...
But then I was thinking, but I'm hungry and I want to buy a nice lunch for a change.... so the MSE conscience says "Idiot, it's cheaper to buy a meal deal for £2.99 than to spend £8 to get £2.50's worth of points"
So.. wait for it.... I WALKED AWAY FROM THE STAND:T
And I got a meal deal for £2.99.
EVEN BETTER... I resisted the coke and the crisps:eek:
And got a volvic strawberry water along with some grapes:T
However.... on the way back from the meal deal, I spotted the reduced counter... grooan. They had a lovely Boots potion that you smear on your face under a moisturiser to give you a magically blemish free face:rolleyes: And it was only £2.40 or something like that. I picked it up and went to choose my meal. Once I had chosen though, I thought about all the lotions and potions at home in my cupboard. And the lotions and potions challenge I have taken up with my buddy Jo... (Use up all the potions I have before I buy ANY more)
And... wait for it... I PUT IT BACK!!!!:T
So..... I was a good mser, I resisted the No7 makeup.
I was a good eat less'er' and got the lo cal option for lunch.
I fulfilled another day of my lotions and potions challenge
I am starting my fitness routine tonight
:rotfl: :T :rotfl: :T What a great start to the weekend!!!
So, if anyone is still reading (lol) as OH is not going to use the stepper, and I enjoy tramping much more, that is what I am going to get.... also as someone said (sorry cant remember who - was it Emmy?) I can step on a tramp, but I cant jump on a stepper!!
Lets hope I dont get motion sickness doing it while watching telly:rotfl:Personal challenge: Do without as much as possible to pay off £12k by 07/2009!!!:T

Yes my screen has gone wide too, v annoying!
Puzzled, that makes complete sense and I always need a rant before I can even think about doing something about the probelm, It wasn't me going to the CCC, it was CMC, too many 'C's! lol! oo I'v never thought about making sweets, I'm more an arts & crafts kinda gal, but I might look for a few receipes closer to christmas
Wow BF that is amazing! to pass up not just one but two things you wanted! and to chose grapes not choc or crisps is truly angelic! Congrats!
