Thank you for sharing Piglet, that must get difficult although the image of a woman bobbing up and down at a desk is quite amusing! I wonder why you can eat at restaurants but not at work, do you not trust your collegues?
I have felt a bit insecure since a very skinny girl at work pointed at my 2sandwiches (4slices of bread) and said 'oo look she's made lunch for everyone!' they were ham salad and the lettace made them look really thick. That was a year ago but it's stuck in my head! I try not to let it affect my behaviour though.

What a biatch, don't worry cc at least you don't look like a lollipop, she probably does with her skinny body and big lollipop head:rotfl:

HI everyone! Hope you're all doing OK. Not been on here for a while as this week has been my first week working 30 miles away, (rather than 1.5 miles away!) not my choice, we've been made to move as a section and merge with 2 other teams.

Anyway! I think the extra driving, being in a new open plan office and not wanting to look greedy, it means I've lost weight this week! 2 whole lbs! Which I'm very pleased with! Will try and keep that up for next week and try and do my best the week after when we go camping for a few days!

Off to Kent and we too are using the 'credit crunch' and cost of living as reason for our cheap holiday this year! The price of petrol is also a reason we give for not travelling as much!

Well have a good week everyone and good luck with your weight losses!

Thanks, everyone, for the nice comments about my confession - you've made me feel a bit less freaky(!) :p.

Crazy - I can't believe that comment about your lunch...!!   Thats the kind of comment that keeps me bobbing up and down under my desk! :o I always assume that that is what people are thinking when they see me eat (although I don't eat very much in public for that reason...). For the record, my bobbing up and down is done slowly over a long time - can take 2-3hrs to eat 2 small bread rolls with filling  - so not quite as funny as I make it sound (I'm not really like a jack-in-the-box!jackinbox.gif :rotfl:).

Its not that I dislike my colleagues, but I am one of the (if not the) largest in the office and everybody else is quite slim (ladies are size 10-12, guys are all fairly slender, too frown.gif) so I do feel quite self-conscious, and the office is big and open plan, so it feels like everybody can see you all the time. :o

Queen Bess - well done on your weightloss woohoo2.gif, and have a lovely holiday! th_vacationsmilie.gif

  • good day exercise wise for me - rubbish day food wise boo. Walked 4 miles today and did a 30 min exercise bout this morning :) Brekki was a yoghurt, lunch was a bagetter with 10 veggie chicken dippers and dinner was *ahem* a mars delight bar (is that its name?) and a kinder bueno.... oh dear lol.

piglet - crazy, never mind what people think of what your eating. Its what you think that matters. if you know you are eating well then they can shove their thoughts and comments up their bottoms. If you know you aren't - then change it :)

tesscha - i cant afford the gym at the mo as i know id not have the time to get there and back etc all the time. However, for the past week when i get up, ive been getting my trampette out *£11 in argos!* and putting MTV dance on and jumping/marching on it for a good 10 - 15 mins, then I do some tummy crunches and lady press ups, followed by some dancing with tins of beans :o and perhaps some more marching on the trampette if im bored of dancing :rotfl:. I am sweating by the end of it so it must be doing something! But not really seeing results yet  i have a step into my kitchen which i sometimes stomp up and down on - u could always try this too :)

not managed to catch up on all those posts but hope everyone is well :)
  • Morning all.... I am fat and getting fatter:( Got paid yesterday and had allocated some money to get myself a summer dress for holiday along with some t-shirts... shop.gifanyway, I imagine you all know how it works.. pick the slim dresses, cant get one over your hips, squeeze the other over and realise it makes you look fatter not slimmer... and anyway you cant breathe so there's no point buying it... dress that fits has tiny boob pockets so spilling out of them.....turn sideways and you look like you're pregnant again..... anything that did make you look like you were human cost a bomb..... oooooh sorry rant over!! Just a little down about my weight this morning, but then I know it's my fault that's the silly thing.duh.gif

I did eventually find a lovely little thing in bon marche, and some tops and a pair of shorts too - in the sale, so pleased with my bargains... but determined to lose weight this week.
So this will be me next week:
    weightlifts.gif situps1.gifexercise.giftrampo.giftreadmill.gif swim.gif
The dog will love me, she will be walked so much!doggie.gif
No more of this in the evenings:chartv.gif !!!!

(as you can see, I found Piglets smilies page!! Yay, thanks piglet!!)

I am going to eat no junk food and no nasty juices or pops, simply 3 meals a day and drink LOTS OF WATER all day every day. I might let myself have a peice of my own birthday cake next week, but other than that, I am determined to get my belly to a point where I can at least do my slimmer trousers up without having to roll on the floor having a fight with the button:o

And to start? The chocolate rich tea biscuits on my desk are going into WORKS biscuit tin. The leftover pizza at home (we always have a takeaway on payday:o ) IN THE BIN (waste or waist...!) I'm going out in my lunch break to buy a stepper or a trampoline... which one do you guys suggest for stomach muscle toning??

    xx

    HEY BF (missed ya!)
well done on the new fitness push! i had a little trampoline but unless you have a sports bra i found that bouncing up and down hurts, so i freecycled it!! LOL and you can still watch telly... My rule is that if im watching telly i have to excercise whilst doing it so i have a stepper which slidesunder the sofa for storage and then i get it out in the eve whilst im watching whatever reality TV rubbish that i seem to get hooked on is on.
and know what you mean about shopping, puts me in a bad mood for days after!!
    X
I can only please one person a day.... Today is not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look good either!!
very greatful for almost everything i read on MSE (except for the nasties!)
  • Yeah actually, I'd forgotten about the lack of sports bra... I'll go for the stepper then - I dont want black eyes on holiday lol!

For those who are interested, my work situation has improved drastically, my manager even gave me a present - left it on my desk yesterday and I found it this morning... the free pack that you get when you spend so much on No7 stuff at Boots (worth £30) - she said she knows it was 'free' but she hoped I would enjoy it and pamper myself with it, and thanks for all my hard work.....

I'm still not 100% sure I want to be here - but am MUCH happier... problem is that I now feel guilty for not doing work and so cant spend as much time on here LOL LOL

  • BF im for the trampoline tbh, i loooove mine. I have fairly large boobs (an E cup) and yes boobs bobble about but you can always hold them :) and if your using it to replace a stepper, you can just march on it anyway which should offer good resistance and no real bouncing for the boobies. I just find it more interesting than a stepper and not as noisey lol.

Weighed in today (i know its NOT a Tuesday!) but I am glad I did :) 12st 1, which is 2lb less than on Tuesday! Could this at last be the start of the weight shifting rather than maintaining? bloody hope so! Fingers crossed that the12 stone mark ive been wanting all these weeks will be here by Tuesday :) then I can aim for the next goal which will be 11 stone and single figure lbs (so 11st 9), which i figure should be small enough to be manageable but still enough to keep me motivated.

oh and BF - as for the biscuits, dont bin them LOL, give them away! People will think "oh shes being so nice today" hehe :) oooor bring them home but crush them all to a pulp, put them in the freezer and keep them to make a cheesecake at some stage - perhaps even for your birthday party?
  • Oooh good idea Emmy, I was going to put them in the work tin, but they'd just go stale because there's only 3 of us here and all on diets so they hate me offering anything fattening lol!
Can you freeze buscuits then?!?!?! I did not know that!
Now I'm in a dilemma again... I have an F cup, and when I go on my mums trampoline I have to hold me self!! I might do the mse thing and go to Argos and see which one is cheaper :D

Hiya Everyone, PAY DAY for me today :j . Finished nights this morning and now not back till Tuesday night. Plenty time to catch up with you all :j. New start for me today, but had one hiccup this morning. Car was running on petrol fumes, so could not risk drive to free cash point, so had to go a local one, cost me £1.75  . But thats it. Today I start my Journey to " debt free, saving, less 4 stone Jo " It will be a challenge but I looking forward to it.

Thankyou all soooooo much for all you support and advice and look forward to more to come. :A :A :A
