just off night shift. I feel I am neglecting you all. worked a lot of overtime lately. Last of 4 of 4 tonight, then its back to normal working 4 0n and 4 0ff. I have been working 5 on and 2 off. Extra Money has been good (apart from this month) OH was down £300 last month, which put us in the situation we were in for the last 2 weeks. WOOOOO HOOOOO PAY DAY TOMORROW:j :j :j :j :j :jI have so many new plans to put into motion. I am very excited at the prospect of being in total control. These last two weeks have taught me some big lessons.
I am soo proud to cal you all my friends. Isn't it strange that all of you are closer to me, than any friends I have at home. My bes test friend at home is 5' size 8-10 and no money worries. I love her to bits but sometimes I hate her    there now i have said it. She is very supportive and does know I have money issues but not the full extent. She has helped me out in the past. Which just makes me hate her even more , does that makes sense to anyone ? As you all know i have had a bad 2 weeks, but was damned if I was going to go to her for help. Pride can be a bad thing sometimes. But i have survived and i am proud to say i did it on my own. Well i dint mean to ramble on so much. You will all probably have noticed. When I do get time to post, I mostly answer post and try to give encouragement. i find it very hard to "get stuff out" but I'm getting there.
Thankyou all, everyone of you for being there for me. I could not have gotten through these to weeks without you all. :A Now I'm bubbling.
Right I am off now to read and catch up.

But its a big help to me to work nights (and I can grab a sleep) hope my boss is not on here in disguise , nights is my full time job, other two are part time and not very big.

I am soooooo happy for you. You are well on the way. What is Fabulous is we are all in the same boat, so we all have the same issues to deal with. My friend who is skinny and rich (sh), says I am always here for you and will help you all i can. Well that is NO BL**DY good to me cos she skinny n rich (sh) so has noooooo idea where i coming from. So ungrateful of me, I know she is only trying to help. But how can someone help you if they don't know what its like

Hi Jo,
I know exactly what you mean, my younger sis is size 6 -8 and 4.11high.. just slim enough to look gorgeous. She is also 2 years younger than me and yet has £2000 in savings:eek: I think it's different for me because she is my sis, and also she doesn't know about our situation; but I can totally understand where you are coming from with your friend.
I agree, pride can be bad in one sense, but good in another. I am so happy you managed to last these past few weeks; and you've become a real inspiration to a lot of people, that should make you really proud (in the good way :P)
I think in some ways I am closer to people on here than family, because only my mum knows of my money problems, no-one else does, I have to 'pretend' all the time. OH has a great job, so people think we should be really well off, and it's hard. Here I can come and be 'anonymous' to a degree, and completley honest about my good days and my bad days and not have to hide anything.
You're all great, thanks guys xxxPersonal challenge: Do without as much as possible to pay off £12k by 07/2009!!!:T

I am so with you on the "pretend" thing. Its draining isnt it, to have to keep up the pretence. I find it worse when every one wants to "do something" and I start thinking OMG how and where am i going to get the money to do it too. In the past I have always, robbed peter or paul to do it. Which of couse has just lead us to where we are. But not in the future, this is one of my new plans. I will just say no thankyou finances wont permit it, much more importand to me now to clear my debts.

PIGLET, where you get all you smilies from, I luv them. I know i can copy yours but i lose them in all the posts. Things go so fast on here. Forgot to say. Well done with the walking, way to go. I have walked to work and back every day in the RAIN but i can assure you it was not by choice, more needs must.

I think that actually I have found that if I say 'No, sorry I cant afford it' usually 1 or 2 others will agree with me, and we'll end up doing something cheap or free!!
To tell a nice story - I have one friend who when I cant afford anything, she'll come round to ours to stay and buy a takeaway and wont accept any money saying 'well I'm sleeping in your bed and etc' which is just lovely..
Also people are aware more now about debt and finances, and the credit crunch is a great excuse.
e.g. DH and I were hoping to move last year, but when I found out about debt I put my foot down and said no we cant afford to... when everyone asks 'why aren't you moving' I just say 'oh, well the credit crunch has really hit, so we're just waiting till we have more of a deposit' lol
