    Hi Girlies

Puzzled I could be worng pet but I dont think you can put on 3lbs in one day. Thats why its not a good idea to weight your self every day. Women retain an awful lot of water/fluid and it can be just fluid from one day to the next that is making the scales tip to 3lbs in one day.

Thing is alot of us ladies who could do with toning our little bottoms  (ahem Ahem) sometimes have trouble with our bowels as well. And something massive like over 70% of women like us suffer from some sort of constipation (Sorry for bringing this up). We have either IBS (irratable bowel syndrome) or else we are constipated. The reasons behind this is the lack of fiber in our diet.

NERD HAT ALERT  . One table spoon of frozen peas has as much fiber as a weetabix.

What Im trying to say rather badly is that the weight you put on on the day could possible be out the next day (im gone all red now)

So we need to make sure if you are going to eat crappy food that at least the bread is brown. And if we need to have mc donalds or BK Burgers, try not eat the bun because the bun contains all the sugars.

    Ok rant over

  • Hi Kmac, chocolate porridge????!!!! sounds err.. interesting!
The reason I haven't posted on my diet for a while is that I am slipping into holiday mode and eating absolutley awfully and dont want to discourage anyone by talking about all the yummy but terrible food I have been eating!! I am aiming to eat to maintain until we go away, and then when I come back I'm on the strictest diet possible, I'm determined to go from 11.8lbs to 9.6lbs by Dec 16... DETERMINED!!!
Personal challenge: Do without as much as possible to pay off £12k by 07/2009!!!:T
Bluejeans Challenge: Spend less - Eat less! Need to lose [STRIKE]4 [/STRIKE] 2.5 stone () then maintain until my concert in Dec!!
Cady's jam jar challenge.. how much will be in the pot?!

Budget: a mathematical confirmation of your suspicions.
  • CMC - wahey for the dr making u 3lb lighter again haha, i want his scales! (well providing they make me lighter too lol)

tesscha - enjoy the trip to worthing :) I like it down there, not been in an age though

puzzled - i have a thing about scales too. I used to weigh myself pretty much every morning after i went to the loo... now im down to perhaps 2 or 3 times a week. Shove the scales somewhere out of sight. I put mine under the sofa in the living room.
  • icka, that makes SO much sense, you must be right. That is why it's best to weigh once a week. I know a girl who weighs first thing everyday and end of the day and if she weighs more in the evening, she starves herself the next day.
She is one of the slimmest and most unhappy discontent unhealthy people I know. It's not worth it!!

Its porrige with chocolate drops through it, I did put some banana in it to be a bit healthy and counting towards my 5 a day though :T

I'm aiming to be the same weight by November the 9th (my birthday). I'm 10 stone 4lbs at the moment so have just over a stone to loose.. Must be very rigid with the diet now.

Has anyone tried any diet supplements/pills? xx

Girles Thank you for all the support with my OH issues

Its great to know I have someone to talk to. You have all been fantastic, I really feel like Im flogging a dead horse on that one though which is really sad. But this is the way the cookie crumbels.

BF I will totaly join you in getting down to 9st 3 by Christmas thats a great challange. I still need to lose the weight to look fantastic for the wedding.

I know people may be wondering about our height etc as the weight seems really low.

The thing is different people are built in different ways. Some are broader than others and some women have a bigger bone structure than others. For example my BF is way lighter than me but she is big boned if we put our wrists and ankles together she is naturally bigger than me. Its just the way we are built. Im very small framed and have a fine bone structure so I can not carry weight as much as people who have a bigger frame.

From my frame I should be between 8.5 - 9.0 stone absolute max. Before I started this I was 11 stone and it made me look like I was inflated, like someone had stuck a hose pipe up my bottom and blew me up. My ankles are all swollen up and I just look gross:eek: . I looked massive and just ill actually.

But Im beginning to feel a whole lot better. Thanks to you ladies and the gym I really am beginning to feel a better and have alot more energy from going to the gym

  • Hi Kmac
    oooh, that makes sense:rotfl:
My friend's doctor gave her some pills which basically caused her body to not store fat; but this was after she had lost 4 stone off her own steam and had hit a bit of a plateua (sp?!)
They were disgsting, if she ate ANY fat, it would come out in her pants within half an hour like uncontrollable diarrhoea... yuck! I think it gave her the kick start she needed again!!

I personally haven't tried any. My motto is 'eat less / move more' - I know why I am overweight, and I know what to do about it. They do say, the slower it comes off the longer it stays off.

What sort of Supplements are you thinking of ?

  • Hi icka, you're right, I know to a lot of people 11.8 would be a great weight, but for my height and frame, I should be between 7.6 and 8.6.. so my aim of 9.6 is still over what I should be really:eek:!!!!
Last Dec I was 13 stone, and you could really see my flabby arms and belly and chubby cheeks. I'm much better now, but still got a ways to go :)

  • Whoops, i didn't refresh for ages and miss all that chat! choc porridge sounds delish!! I love oats so simple with the golden syrup or raspberry bits!

I'm not certain of my ideal weight, think I just want to be under 10stone, and much more toned!

Yuck, BF that is horrid! fancy being at a nice restaurant and having to run to the bathroom for that to errupt!
What sw says and I agree with is that it is more important to adjust your attitude to food, stop seeing food as a crutch or a big pig out as a reward, then you will stay healthier and slimmer. that is why crash diets don't last, because as soon as people get to the weight they want and start eating like they used to it all goes back on. Easier said than done though!!
