over spend and over eat

Hi guys, I love this thread, it's like a big continuous coffee morning with lots of friends!
I had a pint of cider last nite but said no to a Take Away dinner so quite proud of that. Well done Bargainfinder Barbeques are so difficult, I hate any form of buffet as I always want to try a bit of everything so completely overeat!
I'm going to see my family for a long weekend and that always involves over eating but I'm really going to try to be good,
I'v got a long car journey there and back and usually fill the car with sweets and chocs and stop off for take away so I really don't want to do that, any suggestions of sweet but healthy finger food i can have in the inevitable traffic jams instead?
I've got two camping trips this month, Exmoor and the Newforest, bit of a newbie to it so I'm nervous but excited!
Sorry I've written tons again! just too much to catch up on! lol!0 -
That is such a great idea... off to tescos I pop this evening after work.
I've just started a job as a tour guide in Edinburgh (part time to supplement my main income) so I'm walking lots. Here is hoping that my walking and less eating will work :j :j :j :j:heart2: Its 12 o'clock and I need your attention :heart2:Debt at Aug 2008 : Bank of Scotland CC : £1605 :mad:Overdraft : GONE!:j:staradmin Debt free aim: Sometime in 2009:staradmin0 -
HI all,
Well, since my last post ive been - Evil, rubbish, silly, poorly and happy
Evil - shouted at hubby for moving stuff, only the poor sod was just trying to get to an invite to my friends wedding to book a surprise hotel for us
Rubbish - after i came out of the hospital (yes hospital for a blood test, im such a numpty i tell ya) i went to the Co-op and bought a big far sausage roll and a bag of salt and vinegar mc**oys - my bug down fall
Silly - managed to loose the crisps - one minuted on my desk, next minute gone didnt see them all day yesterday (found them about 10 mins ago in my drawer so munching away)
Poorly - im still feeling poo and have been in bed by 9 every night - feeling like im 80 rather than 25 lol
Happy - managed to stop messing around and got one assignemnt and one lesson done on my course work - so now im only 2 weeks behind rather than 3 :T
I know ive not been posting much and im really not up to date but just watned to say thank you to all you :A i pop in when i can and always see everyone getting such good support, and feel like i can tell you all how stupid ive been and you wont shout at me but will give me a nudge, tell me its ok, and then shout at me :rotfl:0 -
Aww Puzzled, that sounds like you've been having a manic and bizarre time! don't worry about the sausage roll and crisps, it could have been much worse! Congrats on your coursework, I hate deadlines!! I hope the blood test will help the doctors sort you out, 9 o clock bedtimes don't sound much fun!

Hi all, I'm in the same boat as you too. Too many pounds on my stomach and not enough in my wallet. I go to a Rosemary Conley diet and fitness class every week with my sister who pays for me and I've lost nearly two stone. Still got a way to go though. We didn't go this week, however, because it was too hot.
I've given up recreational shopping and visit shops only if absolutely necessary. I've started baking my own bread to save money. The problem with that is it's irrisistible.0 -
oo I loooove fresh bread! I've told myself I'm not allowed a breadmaker cos I would just live on it! I love your username Moneygonewhere?! think that sums up my finances! xx0

Hi Toffee
Thanks for the invite, ive tried that before and its really not for me, i end up getting obsessed and then as soon as the obsession goes i start eating again and i get all despondant and annoyed at myself - Good luck thou.
Plus i have a whole dilema about what happens if i put on a pound - do i need to take a £ back - if so what happens if one week i loose one, next week i gain one - its all too complicated lol
Managed to get on from work (as its nice and quiet for a change) and since ive been negelcting you all you get 2 posts in the same day lol.
Im hoping the dr fixes me to Chatter - been like this for a couple of weeks and its annoying me now lol
hope everyone is chilling and thinking of the nice healthy snacks for tea - and all you winoes stop it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! all that talk of wine makes me want Vodka lol0 -

Anyway while shopping i was so tempted to go to Mcdsthen i remembered you all on here:rolleyes: so went & got a sandwich & diet drink & bag o crisps may i add:mad: it all totaled to 470 cals as i thought i might just count cals rather than this fat points etc as i end up beating myself up over these

Well my sig needs updating! Went to diet club tonight and have put on half a pound! I did do 45 minutes aerobics as well though and in this heat, I glowed like a beacon! But it might have done me some good! I came home and had a salad too, so this week's weight loss starts today!
WTBAS - For a woman 1500 is good for losing weight. 1200 calories should only be followed for a short term. A woman needs 2000 calories per day to stay the same weight, so anything less than that will be good! But of course exercise is vital too to help! Good Luck!
Hope you're all doing well everyone! QBxOfficial DFW Nerd Club #20  Proud To Be Dealing With My DebtsDFW Long Hauler #109
