O yes the inspection unit, I know them well. (are you in care work) Bane of our live, just arrive when they feel like it. But I suppose there are right in doing so. As they need to spot check all is well. but that doesn't stop us, mega worrying while they combing the house, files and finances with a fine tooth comb.

Chill out and DE-stress. my fave is. Hot Bubbly Bath, Wine, Music and candles, pure heaven.

    Hiya Lynne

You no more weird than me. I have a "toilet, bath and shower" thing going on. i just cant be doing with using any of them, think that some one else has used them. Causes mega probs on hols and visiting. While OH is checking out the veranda and pool, I'm hard at work with my anti bacterial cleaner. OMG I love that stuff, best invention ever that and bleach. AND when i visit people and have to use there loo, i have nappy sack and anti bacterial wipes and i have to have a good wipe over before i can use it, then all i can bring myself is to "squat" Have you ever watched the pro gramme "monk" well I'm not that bed but I'm well on my way.

So no you no more weird than the rest of us.

    Oh Jo,

That made me laugh. There are quite a few of us weirdos on this thread.:rotfl: Spoke to Dh earlier and he said that he is living in a hut tonight so was jealous that someone else would be living in his house, but he still called me a weirdo. I'm going to look for the programme monk on you tube, I've not heard of it.

I do really like people but I like it when they go home. I will just send my guests to emmylou's house, she is much more hospitable than me.:rotfl:

lol at least it was an accident :) Home made pizza is soooo much better and less fatty as u control whats on it - try it some time, fun to make with a friend or OH too :)

well done on the clutter free house! Feel free to do mine too if u like lol.

Blue jeans - my brother is a bit like that with other peoples loos etc too lol

pippo - boo for the wine but YEAY for avoiding take-away!!!

Im trying a new tactic tomorrow lol. I bought some slimfast in my weekly shop. Going to try having 1 for brekki, 1 for lunch and fruit as a snack in the middle, a nice dinner and try to avoid the flapjacks that r still in the freezer! i swear they will taunt me until i do eat them lol, anyone want to help? On a bright note, todays shop was great, nothing really bad in it other than the ice lollys and lots of fruit :)

BabyJane Well done on the house busting yesterday. Confession time for me too. Had been out all day yesterday with DD and DGD, I was worn out. So the chippy it was, but i did only get a corned beef pattie and only had some chips off oh and only one slice of bread. Believe it or not that is an improvement. So I'm not upset about it,

Emmylou Have a good day with your new eating plan and you never did answer my question way way way back. "nappy addict and nappy adviser" ?

Have good day all, catch up again soon

    Todays things to do list

  • Good morning all! Boy is this thread getting busy, it takes me half an hour to catch up on all the posts!
Lynne, you poor thing, I love having people to stay, but only when I ask them too, and it frustrates me when other people invite people to my house at the best of times, so I can only imagine how you feel... something someone said to me once really helped.. that Hospitality is different from Entertaining people.
They meant.. hospitality is saying; ok, you are welcome to stay in my house and sleep in my spare room and eat my food; but I will still carry on with my life. Can you not go to the wedding anyway? Is your dad is just asking for the bed of a night, and can the girlfriend not spend the days with them and just come back to you to sleep?? I really hope that it all works out for you and you don't ruin your weekend diet wise and spending wise. ((((hugs))))

Well, I did quite well at the bbq last night, I ate:
1 hot dog, 1 chicken drumstick (gave the skin to the dog!!), half a bit of pork, I small chicken satay, 2 small spare rib pieces, 1 slice of chocolate roll, 2 chocolate digestives, mouthful of someone elses cake and 3 marshmallows....
that's good for me! Oh, and I finshed it all off with grapes and a pear; which imho is better than another slice of cake!!
I'm back to dieting today, with orange juice for breakfast and water all day.
We're going camping tonight though, back on Tuesday next week... so I will probably eat more as we're on holiday, but am likely to get more excercise, which is always a good thing :) I dread to think how long it will take me to catch up with all the posts when I get back!! :)

Well done on the house cleansing babyjayne, I always feel great when I have done mine!
Pippo - hope today goes/has gone much better for you than yesterday.. has anyone ever tried weightwatchers wine? Is it nice or yucky???

Have a good day all xx
